Top 3 Defensemen from 2011 Draft?

Who would be your top 3? At this point in time mine would be:

Hamilton

Brodin
Klefbom

Exact same for me. Larsson is way over anyone as he's a proven NHL defenseman and already a good one at that.

Would Nathan Beaulieu make anyone's top 5 D-men of the draft?

Definitely early if we were being asked "who will be the best defence-man out of the 11 draft."

The OP didn't really state "at this point in time" but somewhat suggested it by using it as an example... If that is the case, you definitely can evaluate who are the top 3 at this time based on play/success.

If we were to re-draft this today, I'd take Klefbom over both Larsson and Brodin, actually. I think he'll have the most NHL impact down the road.

Great, so you can keep Klefbom and we'll keep Larsson and Minnesota can keep Brodin. Swell.

He's not a Minnesota fan. He lives in Sweden and watches them regularly.

With that being said, why so steffe? I've seen em both and I gotta say that Larsson has game breaking ability in all areas of the ice that Klefbom doesn't possess.

I assumed he was an Edmonton fan. Every SEL fan I've talked to has had nothing but glowing praise for Larsson

1(tie): Adam Larsson
1(tie): Dougie Hamilton

3: Joe Morrow/Jonas Brodin/Oscar Klefbom (pretty much a tie)

What about Martin Gernat. As of now he's the steal of the draft.

I gotta say expectations get so high for these kids then when they enter their rookie year and don't put up stats like they're projected to by posters here their stock immediately drops.

Larsson is the best one currently and may very well be the best in the future (HM to Hamilton). There really shouldn't be a debate here I would rank Larsson #1 again and again.

Same thing happened to Brayden Schenn.
