Whoa. If we want to be throwing out concerns for peoples health. Iginla clearly keeps his visor and helmet on for the full durations of the "fight". Nick Johnson could have seriously hurt himself. Ginla should have gotten the visor penalty as well.

Hopefully there's a YouTube soon.
Dude, Iginla was throwing punches and Johnson clearly didn't want to fight. This is nothing like past headbutting calls we've seen.

SNET Panel says no head-butt at all. Iginla complained and the ref listened.

The only thing more pathetic than that call and the ref is the Flames' PP that followed it.

You dodge punches by pushing your head into the opponent's head?

Regardless of whether or not it was intentional, a headbutt is still a headbutt. If Kostopulous accidentally clips one of your guys with his stick, I doubt you'll be crying as much as you are in this thread when he gets put in the box for 2 to 4 minutes.

BS call. Koivu should shoot the puck at the ref sometime during the game as a reminder to mind his manners.

Thats not what happened.

At all.

He ducked down, dodged a punch. Brought his head up, that MAY Have grazed Iginla. And Jerome went into full whine mode.

No, no its not. A Headbutt is not a headbutt if its not a headbutt. He brought his head up after ducking a punch. Being careless with your stick is NOT the same as what happened here.

And, nobody is crying. We are simply pointing out that it was a bad call. Iginla sold it, he asked for, and got it. It was not a headbutt.

Never thought I'd see the day where Iginla whined like a baby to the ref. I've lost all respect for him now.

Probably a good thing he got ejected, because Iginla looks like he wants to kill him.
I imagine Sheriff Shanny will be dealing with this soon.

FakeEdit: Nick Johnson on the Wild.
Yes he's real lucky he got ejected since Iginla really waxed him in the fight

Also Nick Johnson has been the best player in this game tonight.

Johnson will probably get the book thrown at him since Shanny and Iggy are probably friends.

The ref should be demoted.

Iginla's been in his fair share of fights and has never responded like that during any of them for good reason. Just like an accidental high stick, even if it's just a small nick, results in a penalty an "accidental" head-butt like that needs to be avoided.

If you don't know how to fight without ramming (regardless how weakly) the top of your head into your opponents face then drop to the ground and turtle, gets your team a PP instead of a PK and only look slightly less pathetic.

Also, Iginla would have knocked Johnsson out had he not stopped mid fight to point out the headbutts. Good guy Iginla.

He did in 3 teams. You're delusional.

I could understand maybe once, but not 3. This is obvious.

Exactly. I was just thinking earlier in the game about how he's always a threat to us, and after seeing him destroy us a few years ago, he's one of the players I respect most in this league.

Not anymore. Unbelievable.
