Fel can you post a YT video of this? Not just the headbutt either but the whole thing. From when Iginla was fighting Falk then switched to Johnson all the way up to the part where the ref was *****ing our Koivu.

Edit: Nevermind, you already did you stud you and exactly the way I said I wanted it too

If you don't know how to fight without ramming (regardless how weakly) the top of your head into your opponents face then drop to the ground and turtle, gets your team a PP instead of a PK and only look slightly less pathetic.

Also, Iginla would have knocked Johnsson out had he not stopped mid fight to point out the headbutts. Good guy Iginla.
Haha. Good one.

i dont see what everyones problem with how the ref talked to koivu... yes hes the captain but it seemed like koivu was interupting the explanation he was giving to the coach. theres no place for the captain when the ref is talking to the coach

Maybe LaRue and Kowal should let Iginla officiate the 3rd period since they're letting him call majors and game misconducts now. Brutal

I don't see a headbutt... Certainly not a violent one anyway.

EDIT: Ok, you can see it when they slow it down, but I'd say, considering Iginla stopped fighting at that point and had time to point at his chin and complain to the ref, that this was hardly a vicious headbutt... It didn't do any damage.

Looked more like Johnson was trying to get in close to me. Especially since he had lost his helmet. Don't think that he was going for a bare-headed headbutt.

Definitely not intentional - but it was a headbutt - like an inadvertent slash I guess.

I'm sure Iginla gives a **** about your opinion on him, oh powerful keyboard-wielding hf'er. Iginla was headbutted and was pissed off about it, and the ref listened to him, a testament to just how respected he is in the NHL and the game in general, respected by actually hockey people who matter, not some crybaby wild fans.

putting aside the fact that you and your fellow minnesota fans are combatting iggy's "whining" with whining,

I'm fine with the call. Have to give Calgary something. They don't have a present or a future. :-(

Yup. And it wasnt much of a headbutt. But obviously there was still contact made. The ref and linesmen were standing right there.

LOL so 1st Iginla is allowed to blindly throw punches at Falk and Johnson. Clearly he was the only one that wanted to fight. After 3 punches to the face Johnson is going to start fighting back.

2nd) Iginla has his visor on. Plus, he has his arm wrapped around Johnson's neck and is pinning it to his chest.

3rd) He then starts screaming for no reason because he's tweaking balls for no apparent reason other than that Calgary is getting there a**es kicked.

Then Koivu asked for clarification from the ref and he starts basically screaming Koivu out even though Koivu has the C.

Embarrassing sequence for the refs.

Why do the Flames let their captain fight? Isn't it important to protect the captain from fights so they can stay out of the box and continue playing their game?

Also, why the hell would Koivu attempt to talk to the ref when the ref is CLEARLY explaining what just happened. Koivu was being dumb.

Does Shanahan release videos for game misconducts explaining why they aren't suspensions?

I'd like to see what he says about this being a game misconduct.
