I'm a serious skier and I follow the weather religiously in winter.
Look at the below picture
This is the NAM or "North American Model" (there's also a European model) which was released about an hour ago. Precipitation models are green for rain, but we know it's going to be really cold, so the green will fall as snow. Snow to rainfall ratios are approximately 10:1, which places Newark at around 2.5 to 5 inches of snow by 1pm (18 zulu time) Saturday.
But this storm has kept shifting west all day, and what you dont see in the picture are higher amounts further east. So depending on how this shifts, Newark could get a bit more (6 inches?) or less (the dusting they're currently sticking with). Frankly, the weather wonks are REALLY confused about this one. They basically admit they have no idea WTH is going to happen, and wouldnt be suprised if it's a bust and we only get an inch, or if it freakishly heads west and we pick up 8 inches, etc....

I agree with you. I do think big snow will be coming this month and go into March. It's pretty much inevitable. The warm temperatures in January will come back to haunt us in February and March.
If the forecast was for clear skies like yesterday, I would say 16,460 for Saturday.
With 1-3 inches of snow expected, I will go with 15,975.
Most fans already have purchased their tickets, some who may have purchased a family 4 pack today may not now.
I don't think the snow will keep many people home, the Philly game a few weeks ago we had 6-8 inches in areas of North Jersey and most people showed up to The Rock.
The highways (Turnpike, Parkway, Routes 280, 78, 21) will be fine, trains held up fine in the last snow game with heavier snow.
If you can, take the train. I believe kids ride free with a paid adult on NJ Transit trains on weekends-but verify that on their site.

Come to think of it...we're overdue for the April blizzard that we get every 5 years or so...
Latest weather report has a forecast of less than an inch, it moved further south and temps will be warmer than forecasted.
It's definitely coming in lower than it looked yesterday which is why the forecast is for almost no snow as you noted, but I wouldnt be surprised if it could still squeeze out a few inches by 1pm tomorrow despite what they're saying right now.
The models show the air VERY moist, it's just a question of how soon the blast of cost air arrives from the north. Sooner equals a few inches of snow, later equals nothing.
There better not be any ****ing snow. The guy who's taking my trees down for under a grand is coming FINALLY tomorrow on the condition it doesnt snow and he has to go do some plowing.
He's doing a 60 or plus foot tree, a dead crab-apple, a small dogwood that's ****ing up my garage, and clipping back the holly that's overhanging my chimney ****ing up my fire burning - all for about 900 bucks - the big ****er alone would cost me 1500-2000 anywhere else, but since he's my dad's neighbor he gave me a deal - just on the condition that I had to wait til he had a job nearby.

I dont think you have to worry about him plowing. The latest map (through 2pm) only shows 2 inches (3 in a few small areas).
You'd have to be a major puss to pay someone to plow 2.5 inches! Only thing you have to fear is if this thing gets shoved west in the next 4 or 5 hours, and that doesnt look likely.
He does muni's and corporate lot type **** - drops salt/plows all that jazz. So even 2 to 3 inches you still have to de-ice at the least. Fingers crossed - and nothing here yet so that's good
