This is one of the reasons I hate the beginning of the season. Way to slow of a start. How is anyone supposed to get any kind of momentum going when you have 3-5 days off between games?

Yeah, our schedule is horrible this season. These lay offs between games are going to affect a team that needs to start gelling as a unit.
I'm always hungry for games, but lately they've been giving me heartburn.
lol
I think the crap schedule has also contributed to the recent downfall. We won 3 in a row, then were off for 4 days. Then 3 losses. Then 2 OT losses which at least there were points gained. Then off for another 4 days. Seems like the next few weeks are loaded with games and the true test will be in place.
As bad as the Isles are playing I've been less inclined for games. It's pretty much just been a frustrating experience watching them more than anything else.
The defense looks good on Monday, but then poops the bed on Wednesday.
Scoring is there Wednesday's game, but the defense is not.
Then on Friday's game, their goalie puts on a clinic and we lose 1-0 because of a dumb pass which resulted in turn over...
There are some games where they fire on all cylinders and we see what they can do.

Islanders excuse # 267: the crap schedule has also contributed to the recent downfall
Islanders only real excuse #1: They are not very talented.
