So the Canucks are pretty much a lock to win the Cup this year, sigh.
You can't win the cup when your forward ranks' are being led by two soulless ginger hell spawns who sleep on bunk beds and a happily married father of two who soberly posts pictures of his ass on the internet and admits to being aroused by Megan Fox to the media.....
This doesn't even take into consideration that your net is being filled by a guy who resembles Borat and suffers severe cases of diarrhea in OT periods of elimination games in the playoffs.....
Well I've like to give Howson a lot of heat in the past, but today I'm giving him a
Howson went out and got rid of a big contract and got a really good return imo.
Maybe Johnson isn't the answer, but he's still young and is only making 3.5mil for the next couple years which is going to be roughly 3mil savings the next two years compared to Carter.

He should have been canned earlier this year. Sorry, you can't make such a gargantuan error he made with Carter. Less than a year after making such a huge trade he is forced to bail out on it.
He made a terrible error with Arniel as well and if you look at that team on capgeek they have tons of awful contracts, some of which they have shed. He's lucky the ownership is essentially giving him a do over.

Well I don't really disagree with anything you say, just figured I'd tip my hat to him for finally making a good move.

I mean for fit of the team it might be a good move but it really looks like this:
Voracek + Cotourier >>>>>> Carter >>>>>> Johnson
JJ is a headcase and is nothing without Doughty or someone similar. Columbus definitely doesn't have a Doughty.

Wiz. Also Voracek and 8th wasn't exactly greater then Carter at the time. It might end up that way, but I think too many people **** on Carter's contract. He gets back to 35+ goals and he is a helluva player.

Hahaha, did you just compare Wiz to Doughty? That's a good one.
Yeah at the time, it was really Carters attitude, that's why I said its a good move due to the fit. However JJ is a headcase too so it might be the same issue as with Carter. Especially when he goes from a team like the Kings to the worst team in the league.
All in all Voracek was drafted and liked it in Columbus and the fact that they could ahve had Cotourier and how well he has played(granted with Philly) but right now in hind site that is clearly the best package in this deal.

No, but I think they could find a fit on the PP together. I don't think it will be that bad.
Anyone kinda hoping the Flames win their game against the Flyers, so they think they can be buyers? I'd love to see them trade more draft picks for rentals.

Feaster makes me appreciate Tambo.
Yes, without "kinda". Too bad Dallas won their home game against Minny. If they lost the Flames could have been temporarily in the 8th place. Feaster would have gone all in and further screwed them up.
Jagr has always been a turnover machine in his career, but now it's just beyond belief. People who think Hemsky is bad should just watch Jagr and be thankful.
NYR - 1st in the East
Philly - 4th in the East (75pts in 61gms)
Pittsburgh - 5th in the East (75pts in 61gms)
NJD - 6th in the East (74pts in 60gms)
Or

Nashville - 5th in the West (79 points in 62gms)
Chicago - 6th in the West (73 points in 63gms)
It's going to be an awesome dogfight leading upto the playoffs, and then for some teams, in the playoffs.

Feaster will buy regardless.
They are determined not to rebuild, which is fine by me. I hope they miss McKinnon before they realize they only have one option.

It's quite entertaining to watch the drama in Calgary unfold.
The longer they keep at it, the older their real assets become (Kipper, Iginla). The older they get, the less of a return Calgary will get for them. The less they get, the longer their rebuild is going to take. The longer it'll take them to rebuild, the deeper in shyt their organization is going to sink and the darker it's going to get in Flamesland. The darker it gets in Calgary, the happier people will live all around the world. Yeah!
