Hoping for a good game tonight, Florida often gets mentioned when people are saying "Where are the fans going to be in the 4th season on a Tuesday in January against Florida?" but you guys have a nice team to watch and it should be fun. I know a few people that are going tonight and they're all going to give Skille the boo-bird treatment so it should be a good atmosphere all around, haha. Good luck
Wow, they boo good clean hits?

How long has it been since we have had top line consistency?

The Booth-Weiss-Horton days?

Nice to see our top line not being shuffled every other game.

Hopefully when Samuelsson gets healthy we can stabilize the other lines.

Fans are illogical, it was putting Enstrom out of action more than anything. Players get booed for the result of the action more often than not.

It was a great hit RR right in front of where i was sitting. Couldnt have been cleaner. I was pissed he got jumped and then jumped againlater in the game. Sad clean hits get this treatment. Also said we had no one to defend him.

Most teams jump up at clean hits these days. I understand the mindset, defending your own, but it still makes for some meaningless fights. I do think that players that give these hits know that if the guy gets hurt they'll get a lot of extra attention. That's the new NHL for you.

Thanks, yeah, completely clean. Exactly the types of hits we want in the game.

I wish Skille could fight. With his skating and hitting ability he could wreak havoc.

What I did was take the p7m4QcxvDJs from the link, and placed it like so:

Just noticed it's an 8:30 start time.

I'm gonna assume that really means it's more like a 9:00 start based on the Toronto game.

Rofl. Dude I'm so old I was at that game. I went to any and every ranger isle game possible. I hope one day panther bolts reach that level of intensity.

Yea I think nilsson was boarded. At one of the sths dinner here years ago I sat down next to Dennis and did the whistle and he yelled "potvin's cups!".
Great guy (now) and we had to agree to disagree. He still can't walk into MSG and that whistle still goes on 30 yrs later. The beauty of hockey.

Boarded? Nah. Most Ranger fans i know realize it was a clean hit, but still hate Potvin and do the chant anyways -- which is totally fine.

30 yrs of this debate lol I stand. On the premise he was turning towards the boards at the time pot in hit him...it's close I know...him and hedberg were to be our saviors it was an awful night...
Truth is though potvin was an amazing player and a lot of it is envy ...

Were you at the "beat your wife, Potvin" game as well?

I miss the venom of the Patrick division.

I started to approach that level with the Hurricanes, but then they fired Laviollete and they don't dive quite as much. My hatred is fading.

I'm hoping the Thrashing Jets fill the void.

I don't like them.

Beat your wife potvin, beat your wife! ... For others here it was alleged during potvin's divorce that he physically abused his wife; thus one of the most derisive, yet original chant ever.
