Couldnt go into Beantown at a worst time. They are starting to roll, if we won it would be a huge statement game though.

I think the hammer is going to come down on the oilers in these next three games. Three on the road against quality teams. We are coming back to the pack in these games, we won't get away with scoring two goals and hanging onto one goal leads for most of a game.

Obviously I hope to win all 3, but even if we win 1 of the last 3 and stay close in the other 2, I would call this a great trip. Going .500 against the opponents during this trip would be great for the room. My guess is we get 3 of a possible 6 points to finish this thing off at 3-2-1 and get to move on from that with the return of Whitney, our best defenceman.

This entire trip is as good as it gets in trying to figure out what we have. A 6 game trip is what it is by itself. There is the coast to coast factor in travel. There is a team that had the potential off ice distractions stuff in LA, not to mention a decent team on it. There is a less skilled but VERY "systems" oriented team in Phoenix. The unique hockey market and fast smaller team in Montreal. The defending champs that play a big mans' game in Boston. The still high skillset vet team that will eat alive any mistakes in Detroit. The near future for these guys in Chicago. If we can take something from each of these games, then I think THIS is the part of the schedule we could look back at at the end of the season and say this is when we really knew we could do something kind of special.

They only really need to win one of the next three games for this to be considered a successful road trip, imo. Unfortunately, the Bruins are just starting to roll and I think they'll take this one... 4-1 Boston with the EN.

Really excited for tonight. Can't take you all lightly.

Bruins Lines

No Danny Paille tonight. we may see two of Jordan Caron, Benoit Pouliot and Zach Hamill in the line up.

Edit: Peverley is likely back.

Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin
Caron/Pouliot/Hamill-Peverley-Kelly
Caron/Pouliot/Hamill- Campbell-Thornton

Chara-Boychuk
Seidenberg-Corvo
McQuaid-Ference

Tuukka Rask is our starting goalie.

Soli's setting up a "rock solid" alibi when things explode around here and he's MIA.

I have to think you play Bulin tonight and if he faces very little shots you see him again tomorrow. Kinda hard to take away momentum and go with DD tonight.

I think DD plays tomorrow unless, as you say, Khabi gets absolutely nothing for SOG. He'll stilll sweat like he's in a sweatlodge in the middle of a desert regardless though.

I'd rather give Khabi the night off, and play him against a intra-conference team, Detroit. DD should be fine in beantown.

Also, why do we keep predicting high scoring games (5-3, 4-1, etc.)? We all know that if we win, it's going to be a 1, maybe 2, goal game. I'm predicting 3-2 SO

I think everyone's expecting a breakout game...I don't think the oilers will have a massive output until they get in a home game or two again.

Its all a clever ruse to give the rabble rousers a false sense of security.

I invite all the hooligans to come out tonight!

it's a good thing the trolls and rabble-rousers haven't learned how to read or I'd have said you'd blown your own trap out of the water.

For once I agree with Tencer, they should sit Eager and play PRV with Lander and Petrell, except instead of Eager, it should be Gagner, and Eager can play with Belanger and Jones.

Bruins are going to give us a tough time. It's not going to be 7-0 but I would be shocked if the Oilers won.

Boston has a lot of toughness and we have very little up front. Granted Eager hasn't shown nearly enough, I don't know that this is the game you sit him. Sit him tomorrow.

Anyone think they should put hemsky with RNH. Hemsky is still the best player on this team and to me seems like they should reward him for the years, by putting him with the best centre and taylor on the left side. I know its great having the kid line, but wouldn't it be a better sign to hemsky in wanting to stay here if we put him with the new studs on the block.
