This is what we need. A game against an opponent who is struggling. We need to capitalize on this and get back to winning.

Haven't heard this song in a while haha love it.

Totally need to win this game and survive the first. That's the period where we'll be winded and feeling the altitude effects (I was hiking in the Andes this summer, altitude TOTALLY makes a difference). Lets hope JT and company show up Duchene. I'm excited to get a look at Landeskog and Varly this year too. There were a lot of comparisons made between these two clubs over the summer.

Yea we really need a 5-2 type win to get some confidence back. Big Al needs to get the start. We haven't been the same team since he stopped playing. Not that he was the sole reason for our success but the team just seems to play better when he is in the net.

The band Default is appropriate because this song came out in 1998 or 1999 and our fanbase seems to think this is still the MM Isles from back then.

We better win tonight. After tonight, if we don't win, I can't see a win for a while with this schedule:
Sun, Nov 13 @Vancouver 9:00 PM MSG+ Tickets
Tue, Nov 15 vsNY Rangers 7:00 PM MSG+ Tickets
Thu, Nov 17 vsMontreal 7:00 PM RDS MSG+ Tickets
Sat, Nov 19 vsBoston 7:00 PM MSG+ Tickets
Mon, Nov 21 @Pittsburgh 7:00 PM MSG Tickets
Wed, Nov 23 vsPhiladelphia 7:00 PM MSG+ Tickets

My 7-12-3 prediction by (12/1/11) might be better than what it might really be...
With that said, I see a 4-2 L regardless who is between the pipes tonight...

If someone had said to me that Okposo would have zero goals 12 games into the season,I'd have mocked them and scoffed at their prediction.

I'm hoping that he gets that first one tonight and gets the monkey off his back.

Let's go isles

Ehhh schedule is tough but anything can happen on any night... Everyone thought they'd get crushed by Washington but that didn't happen.. It all depends with on which Islanders team shows up. I hope Montoya gets the start but it's probably going to be either Dipi or Nabby..

Montoya better be in. Need JT and KO to have big games here. I don't know what to say outside of this, to be honest. I guess I'm also looking forward to seeing Landeskog.

True, Isles play well vs Washington and SJS but get crushed by Florida in both games.

I don't get why everyone is clamoring for Montoya to start. He's good don't get me wrong, but he is soooo overrated by our fans its not even funny. I have the same confidence in all our goalies right now. I don't think one is really better then the others at this point.

He has been our best goalie this year. And the stats back it up.

Good luck guys.. Just a heads up those aren't the right lines... but with the Avalanche changing lines almost every game it's expected.

Duchene is now Stastny's left wing (and has been dominant with it)
And Mueller is back in tonight.

Giguere will be in net so expect a hatty from Tavares at least.

Because we know what we have in DP (garbage) and we know Nabby is not a long-term solution, so we want to see if Al can become a viable No. 1. All that Montoya has done in his time with the Isles is play extremely good hockey. But with Charles in Charge, he can't get past DP on the depth list.

Apparently you don't watch the Islanders. Expecting a hatrick from anyone is like winning the Powerball.

Better yet, expect a shutout for Giguere. That's how sad things are around here.

No offense, but to put it bluntly, you're wrong.

As Doug Height said, his play and numbers speak for themselves. Yeah, Nabokov might have the better pedigree but Montoya's play has been head and shoulders above the other two. Montoya has actually come up with the "big saves" that some people around here have been clamoring about DiPietro and Nabokov not doing. There was absolutely no reason for him rotting on the bench.
