After seeing the talk about Cowen and looking at Kulikov's statline (3-17-20pts) I have to rage a little bit. I wonder if Rangers fans still get really pissed off when thinking about Jessiman.

The Rangers fans are pissed that they passed Claude Giroux and picked Sanguinetti.

Bachman trending in DFW.
I honestly can't remember the last time something hockey related trended in DFW; maybe when Richards left for NY?

One of those games Kari stole earlier in the year I believe was trending. Maybe it was during the Washington domination game? Dunno, but it happened once this year.

Great game for Bachman, who do you think will start on Thursday??? And Raycroft better be getting a little nervous.

Bachman has to start Thursday. There's no question about it. He's the starter now. This is a revenge game for the Islanders. You can't have Raycroft and his nonsense happening during that kind of high-intensity atmosphere. That would be a great way to deflate the team for multiple subsequent games.

I agree Bachman would be nice to see then, but Raycroft almost always loses on the 2nd half od the back-to-back.

Yes, which is why I'd strongly consider starting Bachman in both games. There's no injury risk or burnout risk. He still ought to be pumped full of adrenaline. He's got 2 days to rest afterward. I honestly don't see any reason to play Raycroft again... perhaps ever.

They will start him against the Islanders.
If he stinks it up, and Bachman bails out a tired team in NJ, I think there is a strong possibility Raycroft is replaced.
I mean, really, why wouldn't you?
At that point, how do you question his readiness to be in the NHL?

It's not his readiness that's being questioned. It will be what's the most positive thing for his development, sitting on the bench in the NHL behind Lehtonen or returning to Austin to start once Kari is healthy. That's the internal debate. Raycroft has nothing to do with it.

I don't think that's the proper way to characterize the choices. If Bachman was the backup, he would play more than Raycroft does, i.e. not just the 2nd night of back-to-backs. Especially now that Kari's groin has started acting up again. Also, practicing with the NHL club and receiving constant instruction from Valley counts as development. And then you have the competing need to get Besko starts - this would be good for him as well. It's basically a no-brainer to me.

Bachman gets lit up tonight, Raycroft gets lit up tomorrow night, and then we're back with Raycroft until Kari is healthy.

Are you just going to say that before every game until it happens?

Has anyone thought about trading within in the Pacific this year at all? At the end of the year there won't be a pacific division anymore and I think the Stars could make some interesting prospect swaps with LA (winger for D-man) if need be. Also have no idea what Phoenix will be asking for Turris, but if the price isn't too insane it might be a worth the risk.

If everyone just ingnored Scuba this would be a better forum.

piqued, practice and coaching do not make up for live game experience. I agree Besko getting minutes in Austin is good for him but Bachman on the bench 4 out of every 5 games is not good for his development. It's not like he's been in the AHL for four years or anything like that. He's still a young goaltender and playing, not sitting is best for him.

If Kari is out you obviously ride him till he shows he's not up to the challenge but when that decision is forced on GMJN I don't know what they'll choose because there are valid points for each of our arguments.

I'd definitely be interested in Turris, but I'm not really sure what the Coyotes would look for in return or what we can give up. I really don't want to give up a first round pick in a deep draft.

I hate to disagree with you, but I really do enjoy some of the reactions. The people who react to him deserve him, and I just get the benefit of some minor entertainment when ever I notice it.

I mean .... you are right that if people ignored him he would go away, but that is why this is so fascinating ... they know this ... yet they keep responding and getting upset. It's kind of beautiful. I think you could legitimately argue it isn't even ScubaSteve's fault. The people on here allow him to exist by feeding him.

Really the only option is to laugh at the situation.
