My question is where is browns physicality?
Agree about Fraser, thought he played a solid game and brought some physical play to the bottom 6. The Kings bottom 6 minus Moreau and Fraser is incredibly soft and not great defensively. Fraser seems fearless and that's the attitude you need from those 6 guys.

Nothing like strong leadership from the top down. Murray is still just hoping his team figures it out for him.

Just replace Hunter with Ponikarovsky and you have the same statements from last year. It didn't work for Ponikarovsky and it won't work for Hunter.

Since Murray has arrived in LA, the Kings are 24th in total goals scored. They are currently 26th in the NHL in GF/G. Good times.

I can't believe that you are even surprised. It's Canucks fans. They started five other threads about the game last night too.

I can't believe that I used to like that team back in the Linden, Bure, Momesso, Courtnell days. I feel dirty now.

Add Clifford to the toughness.

Your point is spot on. We can't have Stoll( the way he is playing), Richardson ,and Lewis all in the same bottom six.

When you have a coach that is happy with the "board-to-dot" play of his bottom six, you will not get a bottom six that scores. That is where he wants them to play and that is not where goals are scored from. If everyone is at the point or between the boards and dots, who do they pass to for scoring chances? How do they get traffic in front in time for the point shots without those point shots hitting the forwards shin pads or going wide?

If your players are along the boards and recover the puck pack to the point, by the time the player gets to the front, the opposing forward is already in the pointman's shooting lane. Which is why the Kings get so many shots blocked and so many shots wide. Their options are very limited.

Oh man, I really don't even know what to say. Let's hope we're getting our losing out early. I have that feeling I had in the early DL days when I dreaded watching the games, but I have to. Something needs to happen. They can't score. Even when they look like the better team, they end up killing themselves somewhere.

Love Kopitar and Richards.

Maybe the Kings are trying to take the pressure off of their dismal 5-on-5 offense?

Why do so many people think this? Most evidence shows that teams don't improve much after their first 15 or 20 games. Unless there is a major change, coaching or players, teams are what they are. The Kings are essentially a 0.500 club under Murray, with one stellar 15 game period at the start of last year.

Kings have essentially no major injuries this season, still can't score and are right around 0.500. That's what this team will be under Murray. Luck isn't going to turn this team into a top 10 offense for the next 66 games.

13 of 16 games, the Kings have scored less than 3 regulation goals. That is abysmal and is not a result of bad luck.

When are you going to get your name back?

Does Bernier start on Saturday? The Wild have a bad offense, could be a good time for Bernier to get another start.

I am going home tomorrow(woo!). I just changed my pw and got a new email before left home and totally forgot it when I got here. So stupid of me. Don't worry, I smacked myself for it.

Bernier would make sense. But, I still want to see Quick get a win here soon. But, it doesn't really matter. Just get a freakin win.

I really hope we go with Bernier. Quick's rebounds yesterday were horrendous.

It doesn't matter who the Kings go with. They can both get the job done. It's the least of the Kings worries for once.

Quick gave up the same number of goals yesterday that Bernier did in his only win of the season. What was the difference? (Hint: the offense scored _ goals).

1. Anyone get a good lock at the Lewis elbow? Was there a good TV replay? Would like to kow what happened there.

2. Fraser looked good. He was trying to drop the gloves before Clifford did.

3. Most important, don't be fooled by the 2 good periods of hockey we played. Vancouver was in a defensive shell the last 2 periods. We got out of the zone and through the neutral zone with relative ease because Vancouver wasn't putting alot of pressure on trying to protect a lead. It appears we won 2 periods, but it had more to do with the Vancouver style of play with a 3-goal lead than us. They killed us with the forecheck in the 1st period at even strength. If they had kept that up we could have been beaten by alot worse.

I went back and looks at the FSN broadcast and they never showed anything worth a damn. The only replay they showed in the rink looked like he actually got clipped by a stick, and it might have been his own teammate's. They only showed it once though. Maybe the Canuck's broadcast showed a different angle?

Edit: Just watched the Canucks highlights, angle wasn't great but it looks like Lewis got him with the stick.
