That seems to be happening quite a bit lately. Semin has been getting the opposite of the benefit of the doubt with his reputation. Been called for several calls (including diving) that were VERY questionable. He commits a lot of penalties, that wasn't one.

"Ok boys, one of you will have to carry the puck through the entire defense and score a spectacular goal. It's either that or dump the puck in and one of you forecheck two guys. There are no other options in hockey.". BB

the trap forces a team to dump and chase. it invites teams to skate or pass it thru the trap as thats where the turnovers come from. where am i wrong?

Looks like it was in his hands. No problem with call.

And as the world turns.... Pressure ends up in our net.

simply embarrassing defensive coverage. no one anywhere near the guy. this team isnt going anywhere unless big changes are made. and i dont mean draining their energy in practice with HS drills.

There are other options. It requires guys being on the same page. You go through with speed then pass the puck to a spot as the defense leans towards you. Bet you can find a lot of goals against NJ this season not resulting from a dump and chase. Not that we actually really dump and chase, it's more like dump and token pressure.

Sorry but if you think all teams are getting 2 shots against NJ through 14 min you are truly under BB's spell. This team looks brutal and disorganized as hell. We have wasted another season with BB.

no...its about the quality of their dump and chase game. that they are dumping and chasing is what they have to do v that trap. they just need to forecheck better

Anyone who looked at the first 7 games with good teams living in our zone and peppering us with 40 odd shots and felt good about that is insane. You could see this coming a mile away.

You always ignored the games where teams didn't get that many shots against us. I don't think anyone really ignored the bad, they just acknowledged the good. Something you don't do.

The subtlety of pushing a guy into the boards or riding him into the boards to finish your check.

I hope they pour it on and put a TD on us. If they are going to keep coming out like this. They deserve to lose big.
