Well, I complained quite a bit about the powerless play. And I still probably will.

But we have Adam Larsson. The future is bright.

I've heard it all.

Apparently the Devils suck because Marty is old.

lol, to each his own. I try to have a little bit of everything, even if I can't finish it, which is what I did at the clubs Tuesday though to my regret I didn't at least have a bite of a hot dog there. I literally stuffed myself so much though I was like the rat Templeton in Charlotte's Web when he went to the fair

If the devils had there centers back from injury the offence would be rolling i think. Zajac might not be an offensive machine but i think that certain players need him in the line up to be successful.

just watched the Albany Devils highlights. Great goal by Taormina today.

Would love to see him up to try and ignite the offense a bit.

Larsson - Greene
Tallinder - Fayne
Taormina - Volchenkov.

Edit: Here's the vid.

lol well if you think that's bad, you should have sat in front of the two mongloid fans screaming nonsense in 120 tonight. One of them wanted Moose to come in after the second goal (as if Marty was supposed to do anything about Larsson pulling an ole on Chimera), also said Marty was past it and old, and even more amusingly said that 'Kovy wasn't really hurt, DeBoer's just benching him'

And then to exacerbate that nuttiness, going back to Broad Street after the game some moron thinks it'd be funny to spin the revolving door around super-fast - with me in it. I barely got out of there and almost jerked around but thought better of it and just did a slow burn.

pretty disappointed in this game but we didn't get outplayed by all that much. the bounces didn't go our way and, like usual, we weren't able to finish. i'm confident in us getting at least a point out of tomorrow night's game. our pp has to be stronger though, it really does miss kovy.

Tao is going to get a serious look next year. Maybe even this year if Sal is moved at the deadline. In terms of mobility he is an upgrade, but a bit of a downgrade in terms of shutdown ability. But I think we need to get faster. This NHL is about speed. In that regard, we still have some work to do up front too. The next two years are going to be very interesting. Only five guys are signed beyond next season.

They worked hard, just too many sloppy mistakes with the puck. All three goals were results of screwups while we had the puck. Ovie's goal was off an icing that wasn't called until recently (must have gotten a memo out or something), but it was an icing in the literal sense.

Also had a really really hard time working their way to the slot or the front of the net to do any damage. Really, Washington didn't do a whole lot that we didn't give them, either. Just was a tight game and we made the lions share of the mistakes.

Rough night for Larsson, too, even considering he scored the goal. Getting Jagr'd by Ovie was kind of the exclamation point on his night. He might need a little bit of a break from the 1 PP.

Carter works his ass off, it doesn't amount to much tangible, but he works his ass off.

Zubrus was great at carrying the puck through centre ice and into the zone today.

I wish we had two of him. The Elias line needs him but so does the Henrique line.

It may be worth reuniting Tedenby - Henrique - Tedenby.

Parise - henrique - Napalm has a lot of trouble sustaining any pressure.

Maybe not offensively, but defensively on the PK he is very good at retrieving and clearing the puck as well as pressuring the PP in it's own zone and in it's attacking zone.

And if he can't clear it himself (which he does often) he gives it to someone who can. I like Carter.

Clarkson is not a finisher, AHL-Teddy dont know what to do on ice, missin IK and TZ clearly takes a huge chunk of production, having a ZP on ice that cant do crap is such a weight on the team. Apart from Marty playing okayish, we dont have any stars on ice. Patty to some extent, other than that, we are boastin AHL capable line-up. Im not looking forward to see what kind of effort we see on ice tomorrow. I want goals and a victory. "we gave a good effort and did a lot of good things" wont warm my heart when you go home empty handed.
really. is this a joke or delusions?

Well, they are AHL caliber when it comes to scoring goals, and the PP might be ECHL level

Considering the opponent and the players that were missing, I thought they did an admiral job. Just have to bury the puck more often (saying that feels like deja vu all over again, all over again, all over again,...).

I love Ryan Carter. He's a great fourth liner.

We completely deflated the Caps until the lucky Ovechkin goal. Larsson did a great job shutting him down, although he really dropped the ball on the shorty.

I was satisfied with the effort. Not happy with the results, but hopefully we can play tomorrow like we did for the first 30 minutes tonight.

I think a Zharkov/Boulton/Carter combo when they all come together, if they all come together would be a great combo.

Would be good if points starting rolling in for Larsson now. Greene and Fayne seemed to have really cooled off.

A nice stress free 5-1 win would be great for the teams mentality right now.
