all get painted with the same brush.

It's a Lakeshore hockey stigma more than LSL IMO.

I agree 1000% with you, West Island hockey is more working class, but Lakeshore and Dollard are upper class except Lakeshore kids actually care about hockey.

I agree with the Lakeshore part especially because DDO rarely produces AAA players because the kids there don't care about hockey.

I play for DDO and I know, I also coach there and I know, our organization is a joke, it's about who you know.

Pierrefonds isn't bad, they produce some players, some are loaded, some arent.

Ile B I have nothing against.

LSL should be a major producer of Q and NHL players, it has 2 of the biggest associations in Quebec, and 2 of the richest. And alot of rinks in the area, like 30.

But its poorly run. That why Q teams are wary of these kids.

LSL is the worst run hockey assoiation in Quebec, they should be fielding 2 AAA teams, but they don't develop enough talent. Abe the politics are crazy.

He'll join the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada next year, where his dad coaches.

Well, they don't have to, but most are. A majority of them know they won't be playing in the NHL making big $$ so they stay in school to have a better future.

Many people are misinformed, they do.

Marc-Andre Dumont, the HC in Val D'Or told me himself that it's mandatory, and Bobby Smith the owner in Halifax also said it's required.

I know because I did a project on the Q, and I spoke to MAD and emailed B.Smith.

Just finished watching him play against Boston University and Northeastern.

Good sized kid that skates well and loves to play physical. Good skating and has a bit of puck skills to go along with it, although I am not sure how end they are. When a team drafts him, it'll be for his ability to consistently bring physical play.

Each organization is different.

Let me put it another way, if a player were to fail, drop out or stop attending mid-season he would not be kicked off the team in most cases. However in college, prep school or USHL you would.

this is probably a stupid question, but a kid with this name that's played for the USA national team has to be the son of Stephane Matteau, right?

The Q can have Matteau. Nothing but a cheap shot artist and one of the most highly suspended players in the USHL. Right now he is under a 7 game suspension for suckering a Cedar Rapids Roughrider after the game was over.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Matteau is a prototypical power forward with the U.S. National Team Development Program, playing alongside many of the top prospects the country has to offer. But it’s Matteau that leads the NTDP in points with 23 (10 goals, 13 assists) and penalty minutes (110) in 30 games.

His father also was a player that consistently played the physical game.

He got suspended against the Cedar Rapids Roughriders just prior to Christmas break. After the game was over, he slashed a member of the Riders breaking his wrist. He blindsided the other player. He is a habitual offender in the USHL thus the severe punishment. A quote from Michael Holland's twitter( the guy that got slashed) "Nothing like getting suckered by a kid in a cage" IMO Matteau is a classless player and they can have him up north.

I believe this is the second time you've come in here and bashed the kid, that's right he's a kid, boys will be boys.

He's no pro, that wont happen next year in BLB. They'll fix that easily.

Ease up on kid..... We all do things we regret.
