Is that confirmed? I know that Whyno was doing a lot of speculating early this afternoon.

Vogel seems to confirm based on warmups. Erskine out. Puzzling shakeup.

Erskine is reportedly sore or something. I guess they had no inclination to hurredly send Eakin down and bring a defenseman up.

Edit: 4 is taking warm-ups so maybe he will play. If it's not health-related....

Look on the bright side. If this goes well they can finally move Green to forward like everyone says they should.

worst of all, brooks gets paired with hamrlik? jesus. at least pair him with someone who can cover up his mistakes adjusting to an entirely new role, not the other way around.

and whats with knubles PERMANENT fixture on the scrub line? i dont buy that he deserves it based on play and he certainly exhibits more leadership than most.

the 1 thing i do like is ward on the top line. hes much better along the boards than brouwer. but the 3rd line sure pays the price.

Think of it this way... Two of the other pairings will be comfortable and hopefully that 21-44 pairing is limited in minutes.

The Hoyas had a home game earlier today, does that mean the ice is worse off than usual?

The 4 lines of fury will be in full affect tonight, with Sasha leading the way with 2 goals, 5-1 Caps.

Sounds like using an extra forward to spell them on defense had a salary cap factor to it, from Whyno.

Lines now available and updated in OP, for both squads.

And if Brodeur gets hurt again, the Devils can officially move Volchenkov to "second goalie."

That third line does look dangerous though. If the lines are kept together, I bet they'll be the real fourth line.

The cap number mentioned by Whyno (Capgeek's figure) for Orlov is higher than previously listed ($710k vs. 900k, which includes some performance bonuses).

IIRC Alzner is the only player from last season that could have caused bonus overages.

That $900,000 is also the figure on CapGeek.
