I like that refs are smart enough to recognize that ovi slapping the defender with his stick as they go into boards is ovi saying "I'm here get ready!" for hit.
Much better first period than last night. Lets hope we can keep it up for 3 full periods. Neuvy is looking very sharp too! Now if only we can get Semin to stop taking penalties...

I am behind a bit due to little kid issues, but I just noticed OV doing that before checking the guy into the boards. Does he always do that?

I've noticed it here and there for a while. But he did it like 3 times that shift I wrote the post including one time his stick got into a guys hands and could have been called "hooking" but was really "I'm still playing hockey rough but don't want to be suspended"

Well if that is the reason he does it, good on him. The Caps need him to get back the physical game he had before the suspension buisness went down.
Also totally understand. Feeding the two kids, diapers, all while trying to watch live game and keep you fools in line!
Awesome job by Boston wrt honoring military families and special moment for that one family. But those claps were for every soldier, not just him, and was from all of us, not just Boston.
Fine. Taking risky plays like you'd expect from off dman. Gap control while skating backwards is obvious difficulty. Saw only one misplay and maybe 3 good initial plays for breakout.
hey guys, i've been thinking. since mike green is always injured and our D corps, in general, has had trouble staying healthy - why don't we try to trade for andy greene? i mean, they're brothers, right? so one's just as good as the other and bruce has shown no talent whatsover for converting elite wingers into durable puck-moving D.
