With respect to some of your earlier comments regarding grads and 73's, I actually went to game last night. i thought maybe the grads team had given up on the coach after a few bad losses highlighted by the 10-0 agame against the bears. With this being said i still think P Martin is 1 of the best in the league.
First period last night was surpringly entertaining. Did not look like 2 bottom level teams. Wilkins was fantastic.
Did notice qutesionable calls or non calls especially with goalie contact .
Lough and Hutton are impressive. Each team has at least 1 good line from what imo.
On a separate note caught 2 raiders game last month ( colts & hawks ) & definetely Nepean is my # 1 pick to finish first. Only wildcard is what year end blockbuster signings/trades will SK pull off.

Kings Milley tweeted today "Nothing better than getting up at 6am and getting my first skate in 2 1/2 months. Dying to get back. #plk". I have heard from many people that he wasn't going to play again for the Kings. Not sure if he's comming back or he's getting moved. My feelings he's comming back to the Kings. They have played pretty good lately and are few player away from getting back into the top four and making a strong run.
Looks like the next 7 games will prove whether the Braves are truly a contender for the league crown or not, to date they have had a relatively weak schedule as mentioned previously on this forum only having had to play Nepean, CW & CP five times (1-3-1) thus far. The next 7 games are really tough especially now that CW is getting healthy and Pembroke playing better:
Nepean
Pembroke
Ottawa
Cornwall
Cornwall
Carleton Place
Carleton Place
Five games tonight, including battles between the two teams with the most points and the two teams with the least points:
1) Nepean over Brockville (6-4, turnovers will be Braves downfall)
2) Kemptville over Gloucester (3-2, goaltending for 73's the difference)
3) Carleton Place over Hawkesbury (5-2, CP just better)
4) Pembroke over Kanata (5-3, Lumberkings looking better all the time)
5) Ottawa over Smiths Falls (4-2)

2) Glouc over Kempt 4 - 1 ( McMurtry with big night)
3) Hawk over CP 5-3 ( remember driving home with equipment on )
4) Pemb over Kanata 3-2 ( in shootout )
5) SF over Ottawa 8-2 ( SF playing in spurts )

Dont discount the Braves. They learned a good lesson getting down to the Bears on Tuesday.... look for them to pull through./....alot of heart on that team!

Good match in Brockville, agree Nepean is probably going to win.
Depends who shoots themselves in foot, thinking 73's will win in shoot out.
I'll pick Hawksbury in upset, CP may go into game over confident.
Pembroke getting better but Kanata will take it into OT
Smith Falls winner Grady will find the way over Dorval friendly rivary.
Looks like Dupuis is now on the injured list for pembroke... plk twitter account tweeted that he and nathan syidock joined the injury club... anyone know the severety of his injury? could be a huge loss for the plk if its long term.

The answer to your question come directly from his tweeter account "its a knee injury, mcl sprain should be another week or so until I'm back. Its killing me to sit and watch.".
1) Carleton Place: CJHL may have Nepean ahead of them but in my opinion CP are just too big and strong, if they get a top end goalie I do not see anyone beating them
3) Nepean: A great offensive team, Zwadski has proven to be solid despite his unorthodox style
3) Cornwall: They are getting healthier each day, need to add some toughness
4) Brockville: Continue to surprise, have back to backs coming up shortly against both CW & CP which will show a lot, they are still 1-4-1 against 1) thru 3).
5) Pembroke: Injuries continue to decimate this team, now without Dupuis it will be tough to keep winning
6) Ottawa: Additions of Gauthier & Fiedler have made a difference, Gauthier gives them the big power forward they were lacking
7) Hawkesbury: They are just steady
8) Kanata: Not sure they will hold onto the "8" spot, new goalie has helped but they need some depth
9) Cumberland: they are a player or two away from being a play-off team, a couple of wins this week helped them move within 3 of Kanata
10) Smiths Falls: They are a real Jekyll and Hyde team, score 10 a week ago against Grads and shut-out yesterday
11) Kemptville: Stayed out of the basement by beating Gloucester this week
12) Gloucester: How long before Cobold and White get moved as 20 year olds....and who gets them, Dec 1st roster cut down is coming......

Guys like Cobbold and White would be good depth additions to a team that may need some secondary offense in a 3rd line role. They are not big time playoff difference makers. I do hope they get a chance to go far in their final year...dont forget about McMurtry...he"ll draw attention as he still has 1 year eligibility
Looks like Lumberkings will be really short for tonights game against Grads. In addition to their injured players it looks like they have 3 guys (Hilbrich-2 fights, Gonu-Instigator and Stevens-instigator) with suspensions from Sunday evenings game versus the Braves.
Anyone know if any of the injured guys ready to return? Looks like Dupuis backed up on Sunday and apparently Milley is skating again.
Lumberkings never seem to be able to field a full line-up.

.
The Recorder article has the Brockville coach alleging that the fights were staged by the Kings further stating ,"It was so obvious he (Pembroke coach Sheldon Keefe) was sending guys out there," said Hawkins."
Anybody who attended the game able to add comments?[/QUOTE]
The first fight was the result of stick work on Gagne who took action into his own hands as they was really know calls beeing called. The 2nd fight was I believe just a results of the first fight as temper where boiling over. The fights in the third period was result of the Braves taking liberties on Gagne. When they line up at the face-off Gonu was talking to the player and they where discussing what was going to happen and at the face-off the Brockville player turtle pretty much right away then the Braves player jumped in which I feel is much worse than stage fights. The last fight was a result of the of the Braves player jumping into the fight. Sometimes a message needs to be sent if you are taking liberties with the offensive player. For every action there's a reaction.
should be going , another lost tonight against the worst team in the league who dressed 8 dman and had 6 call ups .
Gloucester Rangers dressed 8 Dmen? Maybe they had a plan since their back end is so poor that they put a third Dman on as a winger and try and prevent the other team from scoring? Maybe they found something! They beat Kanata tonight. Why so many call ups also?

From tonight's game sheet Dupuis did not dress. If he is out for a long period of time the Lumberkings are in big trouble. I expect to see S.K. start to make some serious moves shortly.

If Dupuis' injury is anything more than a "mcl sprain" expect a goaltender to be moved to Pembroke. Only problem, nothing much out there in terms of available goalies right now.
