Visnovsky Out 4 Weeks (Broken Finger)

VISNOVSKY EXPECTED TO MISS 4 WEEKS WITH BROKEN FINGER

Lubomir Visnovsky suffered a broken finger on his right hand last night vs. Vancouver (hit with shot). Surgery will not be required.

Visnovsky is expected to return to game action in around four weeks.

From The Ducks Facebook.

Sheds some light on why his shot was lacking. Huge loss though, time for Sbisa to step up.

Feel Better Lubo!

Well, he obviously was injured before this as well. Hopefully he heals up over the 4 weeks.

Big loss, even though he's been underwhelming thus far.

Well, that was fast. I just saw it pop up on fb myself and thought I'd be quick enough.

Anyway, there might be some silver lining in there. This will give him time to rest the shoulder a little, if that was indeed still bothering him, and take away the risk of making it worse by trying to play through it. Still a loss, though, no question about it.

Hmmm, looks like I was right. I saw his finger taped up when he was sitting in the penalty box last night and was wondering if something was up.

Hopefully Vis can get back on track when his finger heals. I think our D will be fine in the meantime since Vis was probably hurting the team more than helping it. I hope Sbisa gets more ice time.

As others have mentioned, this could very well end up being a boon, if he was indeed injured or not fully healed before this. Hopefully Lubo returns to his form from last year, once he's reinserted back into the lineup.

Visnovsky hasn't been good at all but he's been quietly playing with broken finger on left hand for last two weeks. Right one more severe.

FIgured, I also saw him late in the third period take his glove off to look at his right hand and put one towards the training staff.

I forgot about Cumiskey, he could be a better compliment for Brookbank/Foster than they are for each other.

This is a big loss, but as others have said he has played as if he had an injury all season. Might be a good chance for him to fully recover and come back as the Lubo we all know and love.

Cumiskey might be a good choice, but I imagine that Guenin is the more solid and safe choice.

How has Cumiskey done in the AHL with the Crunch?

Kinda sad that they preferred to play an injured Lubo instead of a healthy Foster all this time

Visnovsky has been bad all season long so far and it was about the when he went on break. It's only good for him. Only thing that worries me is that who are going to get more icetime. Sbisa will surely take his place along side Lydman but bottom pairing of Brookbank and Foster scares me. I'm all in for calling up Cumiskey or Guenin.

Get well soon!

An injury alone really wouldn't have explained it anyway. Mental mistakes don't come from a shoulder injury.

Cuminskey would be a bad idea. He's terrible.

How often does a player break one finger, let alone one from each hand?

I just got my cast off for a broken finger a couple weeks ago, four weeks recovery is somewhat optimistic.

Tough break... Hopefully comes backs fully recovered and ready to go in a month.

So, is Foster on the top PP unit now?

It's too bad we can't call Vatanen over. At the very least, I bet he'd jumpstart our PP.
