He was more useful than Paulushaj.

Also does that mean Cammy will play?

Being a fan of this team is becoming unbearably frustrating.

I actually get angry with this regime and it's turning to disdain.

24 years a supporter, but everyday is becoming a challenge to stay a supporter. Enough is becoming enough.

I agree...Blunden is the future of the franchise, when are they going to realise it???

Your sarcasm is wasted.

Obviously this is not simply about Blunden.

Enough with the drama. We're talking about a 4th liner here.

More accurately an AHLer that was called up for a couple games on the 4th line.

This. Come on, honestly what did Blunden actually do to impress or even make his rugged ways noticeable? He was on the wrong side of a terrible call by zebras and that's it. Lets be real here, he brought close to nothing to the table.

He is a physical, high-energy hockey player who had the slight, teeny bitsy problem of being awful at hockey.

Blunden was Montreal's worst forward by a fair margin for as long as he was with the club.

People get a hard on for every "big" player we get. He was nothing special at all. We won't miss him.

Darche has probably been worse, at least Blunden can actually skate and managed to get as many powerplay points despite not playing a second on the PP.

Its honestly disgusting watching Darche, he should not be playing fulltime on an NHL team.

One step closer to having a functional 4th line again.

I am obviously not the biggest fan of Darche, but Darche can make solid defensive plays and is much better in his own zone than Blunden. As bad as Darche has been offensively this year he is still better than Blunden.

I dont get it.. why now before the last game of the road trip? Usually they send guys down when they are back home.. Something has to be in the air..

Something being drawing two forwards back into the lineup and the other AHL call up (Palushaj) having a decent previous game? Its not like they can't call him up again right after if someone else gets hurt.

I was happy with Blunden's play, but considering he was getting less than a minute of ice time the last couple of games it makes sense that he was sent down. Still don't understand why he was playing so little.

Maybe because if we had send him down in two games instead of now, we would have had to put him on waivers first.
