very nice collection. must of taken a lot of time and money to get all those.
Not at all actually. pucks cost about $3 a piece (the blanks are $1) and I work across the street from where the teams stay when in Philly, so I use my lunch break to get my things signed. I figure I have a ton of ****, I may as well get it signed.
Got a Giroux jersey signed today and it's silver sharpie on a black felt number. It's not too bright.
I was going to frame it and put it on my wall. Any thoughts on whether I should go over it in a silver decocolor marker to brighten it up? I'm assuming I wouldn't be able to sell it for as much? But I'm planning to keep it on the wall anyway.

My personal opinion is don't go over an autograph, ever. Even if you're the only one that knows, it feels tainted, even to yourself... At least, that's how I feel.
Having said that, if you really don't care, and you're not going to sell it... go ahead. But I don't think it would be honorable to attempt to sell it and not mention that you went over it, in which case, I don't think anyone would buy it.

I don't think I'd want to sell it. Just wondering if it's worth brightening it to hang on the wall, or if I should leave as is. I pasted this in the other thread as well.
Giroux Jersey:
This first picture makes it look a little brighter than it really is due to the flash. This next one is a bit closer to how bright the signature actually is, though it's still brightening it a tad:

I think you're better off not touching the Giroux signature if you ever wanted to sell it... You could sell it as is now and fetch fine money for it... and you might fetch great money for it if you touched it up since no one has gotten a bright signature on felt (since they all use silver Sharpie), but it's unethical in the autograph world.
If it's for you, and you don't care that you went over it, then it's fine. When I was 10, I received a Lindros signature in blue pen on my jersey at Ovations in the old Spectrum. I went home and went over it in black sharpie (to my family's shock). I no longer considered the jersey anything special -- I started to realize its value was worthless to anyone else, although the story and memory of getting it signed are what I consider most valuable.

Worst part is that I had a brand new silver Decocolor marker that I handed to the girl but she handed the jersey to Giroux first and he signed with the Sharpie before she handed him the Decocolor marker. I got it from her and got him to sign the stick with it though... came out nice.

That Giroux stick & Timonen jersey turned out great. Is that Timonen stick in Decocolor? Looks very smooth.
I posted this the other night... but Read's signature came out ultra-silky with Decocolor Liquid Silver.

Yup, got a dark blue one for the lighter colored stick. Tried to give it to Jagr too but he was too fast and signed with a black sharpie. Signed small too.
Brayden Schenn March 25th at 3:00PM at Dynasty Sports in Willow Grove.
FYI if you want something signed, they are REQUIRING a COA hologram on it. I asked because of my quilt. If you go, be prepared for that. Maybe it wont be so bad on the back, etc.

yeah. after a couple days thinking about it, I was thinking it cant hurt to put them on the back and keep all the stuff in a binder. I think we're getting one with Jagr too, so might was well.
