Was that not the most boring broadcast ever? I mean the hockey was enough to slit your wrist, but then they combine it with the most dreadfully boring duo of commentators.

Kane got 3:41 and Antro got 5:08. Even Flood got more PP time with 1:40.

Claude Noel playing the "youth" card in the post game presser. I can't say I really disagree with him.

And Byfuglien leads all with 6:25.

What the hell has he done to deserve PP time over anyone else. I understand he's a "defenseman" which is an area we lack right now, but his play hasn't warranted anything close to what he is being handed.

that would be awesome

That was a brutal effort by the Jets tonight. Other than playing the trap, the Blue Jackets did very little well tonight. If you didn't know the standings, you could easily figure out that it was a game between last place teams.

The saddest part for me was not the useless powerplay or the inability to make the first pass, it was that Columbus was more aggressive on the penalty kill than the Jets were 5-on-5 in their own end. What the hell is with that passive 5-man box? It's lazy and it continues to lose them games.

Scratch that. 1 shot on 4 powerplays is worse.

I was thinking that all night. Like that game was being played at a funeral.

I was a Noel supporter and was happy when he was named HC but I'm starting to believe he is on over his head, players are not buying in, the team is undisciplined, certain players given a pass on BAD play while some are benched, crap PP with bewildering personnel...

Claude the fraud!

I'd say the Jets lost to the worst team in the league but they lost to Columbus not Winnipeg.

Pascal Vincent has got to go bring in someone with a clue about implementing a PP, it's been crap all year long.

You have a guy that has never coached at the pro-level in charge of the PP and it shows.

Positives: Bogo was good, Pavs played decent, Antro and Wellwood still create chances.
Negatives: Buff is a minus machine, Little has been brutal offensively all year, Wheeler had his worst game of the year (and Ive backed him most of the year), Postma should be on PP1 and the fact that we still have no third line seems to be the difference for me.
We need Fehr back badly for depth and maybe bring up a guy to play with him and Wellwood so that we can play more than three lines.

The play of Bogosian and Pavelec are the only positives to take from this game. They both played well. Pavelec made some highlight reel saves.

Agreed. Kane rushes the play by putting the puck on net when Burmi and Antro are still trying to set something up. Having guys crashing the net would compliment Kane's game.

Wheeler was holding the puck in open ice with no one checking him, standing still, and lost the puck in his feet twice within 4 seconds. I don't know if it's a confidence issue or not. I wish they could send him down to the AHL to find his game but I wouldn't risk him going through waivers.

I know the management won't make any player changes until they see what they have (not sure what they're looking at up until now) but I do think they should bring in a PP and PK specialist

Heck the way they are playing rightnow if the New York jets laced up the skates the Jets would lose to the Jets. Mark Sanchez in net with the shutout.

this team will not play any better until they get proper rest... this was their ninth road game in a row (from a travel perspective since traveling back to winnipeg to play 1 game against florida feels like a road game for the legs)

I expect this team to play much better after the tampa game.... they desperately need enstrom and hainsey back... and its time to move buff to forward

wheeler no goals in 17 games.. little only scored in 1 of 17 games...ladd is playing like the worst captain in hockey...what a pathetic joke.

and wtf was noel talking about...4-6 months to learn a system? are these 10 year olds? you have 3 assistant coaches plus this group played together last year....

Agree with this - they look very tired out there at this point. They're missing the jump they had at the beginning of the last road stint. It also doesn't help to not get much off time for proper practice every now and again.

Team is on pace for 62-63 points this year. That's got to be solid for 30th place.

Team was pathetic tonight. I stopped watching before their goal, but in 4 PPs they only had 1 Shot.
