This post game call-in stuff gives me a migraine.

All this crap about "just be happy we have a team" is essentially saying it's OK to loose and stink like an outhouse beside the highway in mid-July.

We can be happy that we have a team while also expecting a decent effort for a full 60 every game, regardless of our lack of talent costing us the game.

Buff has 2 goals and 7 assists this season. That's more than Stapleton, and anyone else that you could put on the point. Again, why is Stapleton seeing powerplay time? It's hard for me to hate the guy because it's not his fault. He's being given assignments that he can't handle. He's just a very bad hockey player but being played as if he were a good player.

Would it be premature to have my Jets jersey lettered up with "Yakupov" on the back?

Yakupuv with #12 for the 2012 draft?

Postma should be there on the PP. But I think the PP is the least of our worries as PK is far worse.

They have had 12 of their first 17 on the road. That is a pretty tough schedule compared to any other team.

Byfulgien can't be out there all the time... giving up those 2-1s is tiring work.

Fold the team!!!!!!
King, the team is on a five game losing streak that saw them nearly shut out by the 30th place team, get 1 shot on 4 pps, win only 35% of face offs. Prior to that they got crushed at home. Prior to that they were in a game where they coughed up a 2 goal lead and had 14 penalties. The game before that, they were shut out.

In a league where you need about 96 pts to make the playoffs, in the last two weeks have nearly played themselves out of the picture. I'd probably give them about a 5% chance of going to the postseason right now.

It's not that they are losing these games, it's how they are losing them. The team is not showing any character right now. Problems have been identified over these 17 games and there is no indication that they are improving. In fact the team looks no better now than it did in the first three games.

So damn right the sky is indeed falling.

Think you guys might take a stab at Hagman @ 1.5 on reentry waivers? Every-time I watch the Jets it looks like they could use some depth skilled guys.

There are 65 games left.

To get to 96 points, they need to win 40+ of those games.

So after going 5-9-3 in the first 17, it is "somewhat unrealistic" to think they will go 40-20-5 in the remainder of the season.

I think at 5% you might be giving too much credit. If they actually manage to come close, Noel deserves the Coach of the Millennium award, never mind Coach of the Year.

I think about the best we can hope for, since the playoffs are pretty well out of the picture now, is a decent effort (which hasn't been on offer too much so far).

While watching Jets hockey, if you have any of the following symptoms, dial 9-1-1:

1. Weakness - Sudden loss of strength or sudden numbness in the face, arm or leg, even if temporary.

2. Trouble speaking - Sudden difficulty speaking or understanding or sudden confusion, even if temporary.

3. Vision problems - Sudden trouble with vision, even if temporary.

4. Headache - Sudden severe and unusual headache.

5. Dizziness - Sudden loss of balance, especially with any of the above signs.

Hey man, fans get passionate about sports. They analyze and rip the team when they deserve to be ripped. This is nothing unusual in the sports world. And right now they deserve to be ripped. I would especially be mad if I was a season ticket holder locked into paying thousands to support a team that doesn't look interested in winning, or is being mis-coached o mis-managed.

Like I said, it's not that they are losing these games. It's how they are losing them.

The players are paid millions...

I personally have $7100 tied up in tickets.

Yes, this is ****ing serious. To lose is one thing, to look like you don't even give a **** about losing is another.

I've had #2,#3 and #5 after the game but thought it had more to do with the "pops" I've had.

Where's the Buff?
