Look at that spread of scoring for the Kings against a solid Wild team. Time to build off of it.

I liked Gagne sticking up for Kopitar. Didn't expect that from him.

I enjoyed the game for the most part, but really hated the Kings sitting back in the third period, letting the Wild gain momentum.

But those first two periods were outstanding and exciting, even if they didn't score the goals. I want to see more of that.

Kopitar, along the boards, skating the puck out of the Kings D-Zone, crosses the blueline and ducks under a Wild skater's check/forearm, gets crumpled pretty well against the boards.

Gagne, following up the play, barrels over the offending Wild skater, both crash to the ice, Gagne's gloves fly off and everybody else piles on.

When Courtney announced the penalty, the crowd offered Gagne an enthusiastic atta-boy.

It was awesome.

Staubitz went for a hit on Kopitar but mostly missed as Kopi tried to avoid as much as possible but Staubitz then tried to hit him with the left hand coming through as an afterswing and Gagne saw it and throwed himself over Staubitz. Staubitz missed but Gagne didn't. I loved the reaction from Gagne that is a team mate you can rely on.

Edit: Late to e party

I know deeshamrock posted this last night in the GDT

I think this was game 5. Boston was getting frustrated that they couldn't finish off the Flyers and they just started mugging Richards. Gagne flew in and attacked Lucic. He doesn't do it very often, but he goes all out when he does, haha.

Good game. I think we need a little more from Richards than a couple points in the last 8 games though.

He does so many little things so well on the ice I'm more than willing to overlook the point production drought. He was a force on the ice and has been in pretty much every game. Does sooo many little things really well. Hockey sense is off the charts.

The Kings have a 6-0-0 record this season when they score at least three goals in a game.

Scoring is a good thing.

I think maybe DL was right about the Europe hangover & the need to let it play out.

Offense is "overrated", check the other thread.

I really can't make this stuff up.

Kings are 3-0 when they don't let the other team score at all.
Defense is a good thing

Based on my research in this thread, I've come to the conclusion that the Kings should try to score alot and not let the other team score at all...

I'm not seeing how there are so many disagreements

Anyone that travels to Europe from the west coast with any regularity will tell you it's a very real issue. Jetlag is a *****. It takes a day per hour of time change to fully adjust = 9 days to recover and that's not being asked to play at peak physical capacity on a regular basis.

It had better be YEARS before the Kings are asked to start the season in Europe again.
