Acording to this link he's wearing number 20. All players with numbers below 36.

http://eliteprospects.com/team.php?year0=2012&team=1608

Anyone know the correct jersey numbers of all players, is this link correct?

I love 64, he should always wear it!

64 is great, he will make it his own. Not those boring 9, 11, 19 etc. Also, do we have a pattern here:

68
66
64

I think the numbers might still change, because there is still players on that roster who won't make the final roster cut and those players who go to the WJC could want a specific number which wasn't originally available.

I don't think its that important for MG that which number he gets, I remember him wearing #22 last time at the U20 and Salomäki is wearing it this time since he wears it at Kärpät too.

He sure is a very interesting player...
That's why he stayed in SM-liiga. To round out his game more. And there is no single part of his game that isn't getting better..

Good post and good decision from Granlund. He has developed alot from last spring. I predict him very good WC at 2012 helsinki.

Cant someone with Photoshop-skillz use the Nintento 64 logo and make a Granlund 64 with the big 3D "N" as a "G"

Would be epic..

anyway, i'm also with the guys supporting him to choose that number since its sort of "his" already.

Two weeks in the NHL -> concussion -> out indefinitely.

Mikael should stay in Europe. Sorry Minnesota fans.

If players like Crosby, Pronger and Giroux can't take the heat, how could MG? We all know what happened to Savard?

I think he considers the most how good as a hockey player he can come. Concussion can happen in Europe, KHL, NHL or WJC. Or on a slippery kitchen floor. Not a money related issue.

It is a big thing. But, you can't think that way or you don't play hockey at all.

That being said, it won't help him at all if MG stays at Finland. He will, most likely, play for HIFK anyway.

As Wantaa mentioned earlier, concussions can happen anywhere. It's not like a racing driver decides to just stop racing because someone said "look what happened to Ayrton Senna, Gilles Villeneuve and Dan Wheldon", it's not like a skier is gonna stop skiing because someone points out how many people die in the slopes or in avalanches yearly, and it's not like an ice hockey player of MG:s caliber and talent is going to stop because he will most likely get concussed at least once during his career.

That being said, it can also happen in Finland. Look at Jarkko Ruutu. It's only a matter of time when he injures someone, and after that, the **** is undoubtedly going to hit the fan.

I've actually seen some very ugly on-ice behavior in Finnish ice hockey, and in a fast-paced sport, accidents and bizarre incidents can happen. I'm sure at least the Finns here remember what happened to poor Jaroslav Otevřel.

I hate to bring a personal example up, but my right knee has been operated twice, and I actually have artificial joints on the knee because of a skiing accident. I used to do giant slalom competitively and rather successfully in a junior level, but it basically ruined what could've been a career for me. That, however, didn't stop me from skiing, I still ski on winters whenever possible, and I do it without a helmet, despite a helmet saving me from a severe head injury (all I got was a mild concussion in addition of the leg injury). It doesn't prove that I'd be stupid, it just proves that injuries don't stop passion, and a fear of an injury doesn't stop a man from pursuing his career to its potential.

He already got a concussion there.

May as well cash in first.

I know some Finnish fans would like to keep their star... but if a player truly wants to show how great a player he can be... you have to go where the competition is.

Thus... the Wild fans will rejoice with the coming of their savior! The Church of Yeo will gain it's most important member!

Finnish Baby Jesus arrives in St.Paul in 2012!

Wow. I can just see it now. Koivu picks up his new roommate at the airport, and KSTP's chopper follows FBJ and Koivu as they drive to the X. They then pick up Yeo (who flips off the chopper), and they head out to an early church service at Parade arena.

I love it! Of course, the rest of the congregation will already be at the arena awaiting word from pastor Yeo, to get the gospel of the day...

And after the service, the entire congregation will haze FBJ (and properly welcome him to the state) by taking him to the Minnesota State Fair and forcing him to eat every item of food sold on a stick.

Well... that goes without saying. There is no greater religious experience in Minnesota than eating food on a stick at the Minnesota State fair!

One thing is for sure....FBJ should have a driver at all times. It wouldn't be safe on the roads with his fluttering saucer passes.

Well... you said Mikko would be his roommate right? He is also the Captain... he just has another thing to be Captain of... the ship (car) that carrys FBJ into port (the parking ramp) for each and every game!

I've seen Koivu dressed up as a Hooters waitress. I'm a little concerned.
