I'd like to know what you base this rumour on and what your source is. Because it sounds like normal fanboy response when the player of choice isn't performing up to par. IFK is done for this year and that's not Granlund's fault (the new coach in one off season managed to make the most skilled team and current champions play like bottom dwellers playing terrible hockey scraping pucks in corners -- the play has been awful all year and the excuse was that in playoff time it would pay off but it hasn't) but certainly Granlund hasn't been helping at all.

His play has been mediocre at best. Last night he had a chance to show some star power but failed in that as well. In my opinion the potential is there but he really has to raise his game this summer if he wants to crack an NHL lineup.

I love how all the whiny haters come out of the woodwork and point to a ridiculously small sample and scream "See! Every other game he's ever played has no meaning, it's only this tiny subset that proves he's horrible!"

The whole team (HIFK) has been doing bad. Except maybe the grind line. As the team is underperforming it reflects on Mikke as well. Not that it should be an excuse for his unsatisfactory playing but I think there's just too much for Mikke to handle. Also Jokerit have been playing darn good hockey, so gotta give 'em some gredit.

Actually this is not true at all. HIFK was playing very well in regular season, but after Granlund joined team for playoffs they have been bad. Not saying it's all Granlund's fault, but maybe it changed team's chemistry or something.

Mikke too was good in regular season. The last pair of games however has been bad from the whole team. What I'm saying is that Mikke is having too much on his shoulders to break Jokerit's great game. Though I think we'll see a different HIFK on Game III.

Going to have to agree with this.

Granlund is still one of if not the best player in sm-liiga and these last couple of games don't change that.

Granlund has finally been paired up with Ville Peltonen again, for tonight's game. Took long enough.

Yeah, I think putting Granlund with Peltonen is a good move for him and the team, even though I don't really know why they put Granlund Jr. to play with the A-Jr. and scratched Pesonen. Probably looking for a fight, since Melart is in the line-up.

On a side note, look at the awesome playoff beard that MG has.

It sure is awesome, but doesn't count because he took a head start.

Looks like Jokerit tied it up.

Edit: Nvm it's 2-1 Jokerit.
