That is a bizarre stat. Our PP this year is atrocious, but still barely clinging to a double digit success rate.

No, the few games before he got fired were the absolute best of the worst.

The fact that he has been competent and fairly reliable in his own end is more than enough for me.
When we waived White, I thought Lou had something up his sleeve because I figured Sal was all but finished and couldn't imagine him coming back to play at a good level or better than what White brought

In hingsight, Lou knew Sal was going to be healthy and that among other things made his decision to move on from White easier, he just let us know a week or two later that Sal would be back

It's early but I'm somewhat eating crow because like I said, Sal has had his highs and lows

Sal has been just good enough. Nothing more than a third pairing defenceman at this point, and pairing him with Volch still scares the hell out of me every time they get pinned in the defensive zone against the opposing top line.

Maybe the PP was, but December last year we rivaled the KC Scouts in performance. Don't you remember the goalie getting pulled less than 2 minutes into a game? And I believe that happened twice. There was also the Eric Boulton Hat Trick game that got him a 2-year contract.

And of course this how it finished ya'know.

I never actually saw that post game interview. I know ya'know was a favourite of his, but that was just ridiculous.

That was hard to watch not because of the ya'know count, but because of how it totally defined how he was never able to explain things - rather give the cliche answer that I could have given you - and he wasn't giving those answers by choice

Yeah, he looked very desperate. It's hard to remind myself that he was one of Devils top forwards, maybe THE top forward before Patty, after this pretty bad season. But I think we should "forgive" him and remember the good times when he was here as a player and assistant coach. I can understand that hate, but maybe we should just forget it and let it be.

He knew he was going to get sacked soon after that. That had to be weighing on him.

Kessel > Parise according to the trade board, apparently, because parise 'hasnt proved he can be a good player after his injury' while kessel had a good month.

lol.

I always thought he made a pretty good assistant coach. Hopefully he can land a job as one somewhere else.

I truly am worried about Parise's play. Only on pace for 27 goals and 43 points. He hasn't looked good at all.

I'd like to see what happens to Parise's effectiveness when Zajac is back.
