I truly am worried about Parise's play. Only on pace for 27 goals and 43 points. He hasn't looked good at all.
yea damn he sucks only 80 percent on the shootout all year
i do agree with you that he hasnt played the same but, as long as the teams winning it doesnt matter. also, zach will only improve imo.

Maybe the PP was, but December last year we rivaled the KC Scouts in performance. Don't you remember the goalie getting pulled less than 2 minutes into a game? And I believe that happened twice. There was also the Eric Boulton Hat Trick game that got him a 2-year contract.
I'd like to see what happens to Parise's effectiveness when Zajac is back.
Parise is supposed to be a All-Star caliber player. If he needs Zajac to be effective, we are in a world of trouble.
I just don't understand why Kovalchuk get's the raw end of the stick if he doesn't produce with two rookies as his linemates and Parise has been getting a free pass for the past month and a half.
I love the guy and we all know what he can do... but he's having a horrible start to the year. The good news, it can only get better.

Kovalchuk signed a huge contract. He will always have that $100 million dollar man label. People are jealous and make themselves feel better by picking on him for every little thing.
Parise and Zajac simply work better when played together. Leave it to the uninformed fans of other teams to say that Zajac is garbage without Parise, we know the truth of the matter is that they both make each other better in a very obvious way. Both the statistics and visual observation confirm that. It's not like Parise can't do anything without Zajac, but adding Zajac will definitely make him better.
Kovalchuk is more capable of creating offence by himself. The name of the game was "Kovalchuk and friends" for 10 years in Atlanta, he should be able to do some of the same here, even if the style of play is different.

im anxious to see that too, but at the same time, hes a world class talent. him and kovy have sortve...well...sucked. theyre talented enough to not have to rely on them. i hate making excuses so they dont get a waiver from me. well, parise sortve does because maybe hes still "readjusting". but kovy...well...hes a streaky ****er...so i guess theres that. ah whatever, back to my mac and cheese.

Where did you get that mac and cheese? It better not be the mac and cheese that I lost earlier today.

Because Parise when he is not producing is still a very valuable hockey player. Also, Kovalchuk will (rightfully) have the contract fiasco hanging on to him for his entire stint with NJ.
