Why can't he be a center? He's not that small if that's what you're referring to. Listed as 5'11, 185 or 190. He could easily be a 6ft 200 lbs centre speedy centre.

I don't see it happening, I don't beleive it happens often that undersized junior wingers turn into centers at the next level.

Yeah he's looked good.

Sundin grew 2 inches after being drafted...it'd really improve his stock if that happened with Mika.

I think Pageau has the potential to be the most gifted player that we drafted this year...if he can overcome his size.

I feel like he has the drive, talent and motivation to do it.

Derek Roy, Michael Cammalleri, Saku Koivu, Kris Versteeg, Brian Gionta, Daniel Briere, Martin St. Louis, Patrick Kane, etc. etc.

There's no guarantees with prospects, but I think that Pageau has a bright future.

Dang slow start for Z in Sweden, I was hoping he would explode out of the gate. I'm not sure if I should still expect MPS-like numbers from him this season.

Wouldn't worry about the numbers this is a better prospect.

He's created scoring chances in each game. Drew two penalties on near-breaks today and has been alone with the goaltender a couple other times. Couple good set ups that teammates didn't cash.

That and his team is brutal.

I've said it before, Pageau is going to have to prove he has the bulldog mentality that guys like Gerbe, St.Louis, Kane, etc have. Thats why they can survive in the league, they are as gritty as they are skilled and don't mind going to those nasty areas and are strong enough to take hits from way bigger players.

Noesen is a guy I love. He's basically guarenteed to play in the NHL in some role. If he doesn't develop into a top 6 forward, he plays the kind of style that fits well on the bottom 6 lines aswell.

@Minister of Offence

I'm curious as to why you always doge the question of where you are watching these Djurgarden games?

I ask because I would really like to watch them as well.

Thanks!

Key thing is that most small players in the NHL have speed and are great skaters. Pageau lacks in that area

We'll get a chance to see him on TV here in Ottawa on Friday.
Sportsnet is airing the Gatineau/Val d'Or game at 7PM.

With Konopka in the line up that is slowly changing but we need guys who are willing to go after anyone who takes liberties with our players especially our skilled players & our goalies.

- Pete what is your opinion of Pageau? While he is very skilled I think his size is just too much to over come in the NHL. While a very few smaller players have made a name for themselfs in the NHL it's still a very difficult road for smaller players but not impossible. I think Pageau will be like Locke a career AHLer.

I think for Pageau it will be a question of speed (Locke's primary problem). In terms of projection it's hard to say, but assuming the management group stays the same when he turns pro he'll definitely be given an opportunity.

If that's the case I like his chances over Locke's. Still, not a great chance...but I'd say he's got and will have better speed then Locke.

Think Zibby just lost a tooth or two, not 100% sure but looked like it. Left the ice with 0 point in a 5-1 victory. Wouldn't say he was as good as he can but wasnt bad neither

I think he was a longshot to get an invite, but this won't help his WJC camp chances.

Hey guys, just wanted to check in what you have to say about Zib. I was at the Djurgården game today and he played OK. The only time he drew some attention was when he lost a tooth hehe... Hopefully he'll start making some goals (he's making good plays right now) now and I hope that Djurgården can bounce back after this 5-1 victory (after that embarrassing loss on Monday...).

/Swedish DIF fan coming in peace (that is, until Jan. 12 )
