As much as I wanted this to happen now for the last year I would say, this year was probably a make or break season for him regardless of the extension.

I have nothing but high praise for Carlyle and what he did for our team since 2005. He will be etched in Ducks history for a lot of great reasons.

Serious question for all the hysteria going on here - which situation do you think would have been more damaging to the Ducks - Losing RC or losing Bobby? Don't bother avoiding the question with "rabble rabble rabble fire Murray" because it flat out wasn't happening, so lets keep the discussion to the actual real alternatives please.

Now Randy is gone and we hired a look-a-like!
I am very frustrated now. The only thing to do is offer RC as an assistant coach.

So for now its up to the squad to make an impact. The only person within our roster who might feel a bit better now is perhaps B. Ryan.

But that move will not fix us. Either keep the team and staff together (i would have preferred) or make something big (coaches, GM, and prospects,...).

But keep your hands off Getzy, Perry, Ryan, Selanne, Koivu, Fowler, Cogs, Sbisa, Parros!!!! They have to be untouchable.


By the way - I lost my trust in GM Murray when I read the news. Wasn't he the guy who always said: EVERYONE ELSE HAS GOT TO GO BEFORE CARLYLE!?!
What change in opinion.
