Game #17 - Buffalo Sabres vs. Montreal Canadiens - 7PM EST

It's time for redemption. We're pissed and ready. (I think)

Let's go Buffalo!

Let's go.

Yay.

Montreal games are almost as boring as Tampa games.

Yaaay.

It would probably be in the team's best interest tonight to come out pissed off and get going immediately.

Let's hope we get more Charlestown Chiefs and less Hello Kitty Island Adventure out of these guys.

The team will no doubt get rough and tumble with one of the few teams in the NHL softer than ours. Of course, nobody cares how tough they can be against Montreal, so hopefully they're not taking dumb penalty after dumb penalty in an effort to overcompensate for Saturday night. This one smells like a shootout to me. Sabres win 3-2 in the Crapshoot, Pommer with the winner there.

Gerbe
Stafford

Pacioretty
Cole

BUFFALO GO!!

Still not in a good place from our last game. Hope they pull themselves together for this one.

I can see them being upset about things right from the drop of the puck, but playing tougher? Unless someone found a place to buy bricks in Montreal, those handbags are pretty light.

If I'm Montreal's coach, I tell the forwards to get right on top of Enroth each and every time he freezes the puck, and then just wait for the roughing penalties to start flowing like wine.

For sure. Take advantage of the mental state of the team. Unless the Sabres come out flat, which would really, really, really concern me, I expect a lot of special teams play tonight.

We're playing at montreal...if we try to play tough we'll be in the penalty box all night

It isn't so much that there will be some penalties, it's the number of 5-on-3's they yield to the Habs while in Montreal.

Lousy timing for my Habs to be your exercise in redemption after what Lucic did to Miller. Here's hoping he recovers quickly and completely.

I'm sure Lindy's smart enough to instruct your guys to keep it clean tonight. No point adding insult to injury - literally. Look for another solid, fast and clean game between our two teams.

Redemption (for the loss, not the hit)

3-1 Sabres

Ehrhoff, Leino, or Pominville with a goal

The way weve been showing up lately, I dont know what team to expect. Finally, Enroth will be playing a game where he is eye level with the majority of the team hes playing against.

Seriously, I expect a 5-2 win for Montreal. I dont think our team will be up for this game. I'm thinking I'm gonna see the same "players skating in sand" kind of performance we had last time we were there.

Sabres could provide the Habs with the tonic their slumbering scorers need -- all those d-zone gaffs and poor coverage that Miller bailed them out on over and over last trip? I'm sure the Canadiens are looking forward to the gift giving tonight.

The other night's debacle aside from Miller's injury can be a good thing. The team knows that the response was lacking and that in itself can bring the team together.

Let's go boys bring out a solid effort! Vanek with 2 goals 1 assist.

Everyone's favorite intellectual sports reporter who is smarter than you, Mike Harrington, is reporting Myers is doing extra in the GD skate, might be a scratch.

He needs a night off and Weber needs ice time. I'd be fine with that.

Myers being scratched won't surprise me, Ruff wants to send a message that no one is safe and Myers was pitiful last game.

I bet Walter Cronkite wishes he were still alive to break into a soap opera and report that. The bulletin from Montreal, apparently official...

Bulletins and breaking news aren't what they used to be.

Thank the Lord. Sick of watching that eye sore on the ice. Maybe Hoff will get some time on the first PP? Leopold wouldn't be bad on it either, he's been playing very well, I think he deserves some PP time.

I'd be pretty shocked if Myers sat. Even last year when he was playing worse then this they did not sit him because they wanted him to play his way out of it. Who knows though, maybe some time in the press box will do him some good.
