I've been watching Roli closely last few starts and he does that more this year than I've noticed in the past.
Agreed. That's really been the story the whole season with him. It seems like he's more interested in preventing a shot from being taken, (or being put in a spot where he has to make a save) then he is with just stopping the puck. He doesn't want the action. He should be dying for someone to take a shot on him.
That would seem to stem from a confidence issue, and those are deadly for goalies.
Let the skaters try to prevent the shots from happening, just stop the puck, Roli.
