I get that Schiano resurrected the Rutgers program, but its not like hes winning the Big East or winning BCS bowl games left and right. just don't think he is NFL material

Let's not forget - the Big East is CRUMBLING around him. Why stick around if the conference is not going to get an automatic bowl bid anymore and the AD is not really showing signs of getting into a big time conference, or a big time conference wanting them? He saw a better opportunity and took it, good on him. And bravo to him for doing it BEFORE all the kids committed, what a real dick move that woulda been.

I think people are just upset. Sign of what a good coach he was. The timing does suck too, best recruiting class ever upcoming, that's pretty much out the window now.

Rutgers has played the likes of Ball State in their bowl games.

Don't compare the two coaching positions.

I'm liking this change too. Also, I'm very excited for WVU's inaugural season in the Big 12 (and getting to go to games free as a member of the marching band).
