Life in prison isn't enough for this monster.

He's lucky he's 68, he'll die in prison and rightfully so.

Nope, he should be forced to live with it and the abuse he'll get from other inmates. And he's definitely going to get abuse.

this is what I don't understand ... why people like that should be allowed to live and taxpayers allow him to live on in jail

Now it is a question of how many millions Penn State will have to cough up and Jerry Sandusky should have all of his money accounts cleaned out.

It often costs more to have a person executed.

If Sandusky is placed in general population, the inmates will kill him sooner than a death sentence would.

He'll most likely have zero contact with other prisoners. He'll be on the highest form of protective custody for the remainder of his life in prison given his crimes, publicity, etc. - not that I agree with it but it's very common. Not that they still couldn't get to him (guard misconduct, riot, etc.) but it's not a guarantee.

The sad thing is, I go to a university with a major football program and I go to the games and I love the team. The scary thing is, it's something like this which makes you realize how above the law College Football programs really are, had something crazy like this happened here, nothing would have been done...

Really a depressing situation and I hope that Penn State athletics spend a few years in the wilderness, not out of spite, but just so that it can get it's priorities in check. It worked for the University of Chicago, though at that time they could kill their football program without too much of a loss, it'll be harder for Penn State considering they can't really do that.

It's a shame Paterno wasn't alive to see this. Say what you want, but he got off easy..

Not only do I think Paterno got off easy, I also think McQueary was a scapegoat and that he really tried to do what was best but was caught in a town out of a David Lynch movie. It's a real shame that he won't find another college football job because although he isn't necessarily a hero, he is innocent.

For what it's worth, I've noticed that Penn State hasn't been focused or profiled much at all on the Big Ten Network since this broke.

Furthermore, if that university has any sense, they need to take down Paterno's statue.

Yeah, but they even want to name the Football Field at Beaver Stadium after Paterno, which is an affront to a great American like Former Governor James A. Beaver. (Which Beaver Stadium is named after)

What is the NCAA going to do with Penn State?

Death penalty? Remove a bunch of scholarships?

As far as I'm concerned, Penn State University should be shut down and all of its money should be split among the victims.
