I don't know enough about his defensive game . If Murray is still planning on using Richards line against the top line on the other team, then you need to have somebody on his wing that is pretty good defensively. If that isn't Loki's game, than maybe Stoll on wing on either 2md or 3rd line with Loki at center on third I guess.'

As much as I like Loki's speed and it does compliment Richards speed and playmaking skillset, it backfires a bit if Loki is not strong defensively.

Richards would not be as effective on wing, his strong suit is as a puckcarrying playmaker.

Curious to see where loki plays...

He has to learn to make plays and be defensive at some point. Might as well be now. This is a great time for him to get his feet wet more in the NHL.

I don't even care if he lights it up. It's a good experience for him.

3rd line

Stoll/Lokti/Richardson

Maybe try and spark Clifford a little bit on the 2nd line, he could use the ice time.

Our savior has arrived. Now if only Voynov would get called up, we'd have double the Russian pleasure.

Hopefully this is it for him and he never goes back to Manchester.

There were some plays I noticed when they were on the ice together that was sweetness. Hope to see more of it.

Play him on Richards' side. The opposin team would have their pockets picked immediately any time yet gained possession.

Wishful thinking Herby. You know Dean, Terry and the crew will say he still needs to learn his defensive game.

He could have 7 points in 5 games and he would still be sent down

Cripes.

Folks get what they've been braying for and yet there's still plenty of griping ... about unlikely hypotheticals.

Let's see where Murray uses Loktionov now. I would have him centering Clifford and Stoll if Richardson is going to move up and play LW on Richards' line for a while.

I am hoping this injects some skill into the lineup for the two games against the Ducks. The Ducks are not looking too strong on the back end at the moment.

He looked pretty good on Kopitar's wing.

ye in the preseason during 4 on 4. Those 2 just took over a shift and it was sick to watch, they just took turns shooting and passing to each other in the offensive zone for pretty much a whole minute

4 x 4 ? Yes he did, but huge difference in Kopi and Loki. Kopi is very good defensively Loki is a brilliant AHL forward with great pototential. But he'd not MR when it comes to defense, instincts, muscle and all around play.
You're losing too much moving Richards. I want Richards going against Datsyuk Sat not Loki.
And it could be that last year Loki didn't adjust to playing wing because he didn't have the right center...

MR has needed a winger that is fast and skilled enough to act on his passes and playmaking since the season started.

Hopefully TM does the right thing and puts them together, Loki is top 6, Richardon, for as hardworking and hustling as he is, is not top6, look at the pass MR gave him last game , he had half a net and couldn't bury it. Loki wouild have.

Does TM keep Loki up here when Penner is healed? Please trade him in the meantime...

But I'm told the Kings have "One of the best 3rd line centers in the NHL".. why can't he match up with Datsyuk?

All kidding aside, the Kings will almost surely have Loktionov at center, now who that is with we shall see. If Loktionov is playing wing I will be a little bit pissed because why wasn't he up here the whole season playing over Moreau and Hunter.

Who knows with TM though, I wouldn't be shocked to see him as a LW on a scoring line, and I wouldn't be shocked to see him centering Moreau and Westgarth.

Wonder what number he's going to wear now that he's been jacked by Gagne. Maybe back to 48? Or maybe 66 like another savior that won a cup for his team ?

Can't wait for him to 1) not perform well and have TM blamed for it or 2) get hurt. You can almost guarantee one or the other will happen. How is that for a negative nellie? Take that pessimists!

He's been wearing 48 in Manchester this season. He will be missed here, we are very lacking in the scoring department!
