It's great that Nashville stayed where it belongs, and that the fanbase seems to be growing larger, more vocal and rabid. You guys probably have the most underrated fanbase in the league imo. It was great to see the arena on its feet after a good win.

Good luck in the future. Look forward to the next meeting and keep spreading the great game of hockey!
Thanks for the kind words! I have a feeling if the Leafs weren't so banged up this game goes the other way. Come down and catch a game sometime

The "lol" smiley does that. I'm not really sure. I guess it's meant for times when you quote a post that you thought was funny. It points at the quote and laughs.

You guys played hard hockey. Personally, I'm rooting for you guys to get into the playoffs and play well this year. Hopefully you guys can keep the momentum you've been having recently.

Here's to a Preds-Leafs SCF series.

Im just glad Halischuk made the shot, because if he would of missed and iced the puck...oh man, let's not think about that.

Thing is, face-offs as a whole really aren't that important, especially if you've got a team that's capable of winning the puck away after the draw, which we are. We're also far more productive offensively than we have been in years past.

We have played better than we played tonight, but we got the win despite a pretty good game (I thought) from Scrivens. The game was much closer than the final score indicated. We'll need to tighten up if we want to stay in the thick of the race.

I agree. Scrivens made some pretty nice saves tonight even if his numbers don't look good (the save on that 2-on-1. He got some help by the post on a Smith shot. The Leafs definitely pressured us in the third, and Rinne earned his pay check. I just hope this up-coming game isn't a trap game

Oh and McGrats with a beautiful fight

I was a huge source of negativity earlier this season and I'll admit that I'm looking very wrong right now. But with that said I was just thinking....how in the **** has Trotz never won a Jack Adams before? It's absolute insanity. We all know this....it was just on my mind.

Poor guy. He shouldn't have been so cocky about it, but still... I doubt he sleeps much tonight

Let's just hope he is as dominate as Weber while pissed off

This is true. But losing a face-off in our own zone during a PK is a bad thing.

Turning and cheering on the fans after the fight instead of heading to the box. Since Aaron Asham's "sleeping" gesture last month, the NHL has cracked down on post fight celebrations. IMO, if you win a fight that should entitle you to a little showboating action! : NHL

I know he didn't get a "star", but #35 SHINES again Thursday. Should we be really, really worried about the D (or lack of it) in front of him outside of #6 and #20??? And a 4th star should go to whoever decided the "coming home" intro needed to go!!!

what kind of defective logic is that?? we have a game in which honest to goodness fisticuffs are alllowed but a littte non-violent showmanship is verboten??

brilliant...

edit:YGBSM!?!??!??!?? Fox is replaying the game and I stayed awake to see the Mcgrattan fight and the ftigging skipped 4 minutes in the third including the fight...

In the month of Movember Pekka Rinne has a 5-1-1 record to go along with a 1.48 GAA and a 0.957 SV% thus far...

OK? He just failed to deliver two very potential shutouts and his stats get inflated when playing with the Preds, he's just a product of the system, yadda-yadda-yadda....

Smells like Vezina. (The trophy, not the guy.)

Oh well...it could've been worse...at least he didn't kick a goal in for the opposing team.

We were listening to the postgame show on the way back home last night, and a reporter asked Trotzy if he laughed when Smith missed that EN. Trotzy said (paraphrasing here) "No, I didn't laugh at all. Our game is about details. He nets that goal, it's game, set, and match, but since he didn't, the Leafs were still in it, Peks had to face some more shots, and Blake Geoffrion had to block a shot. Smith definitely learned from it, learned what not to do, and I'm sure it won't happen again".
