Too small, fire Martin, Price has a weak glove hand and Cole sucks. 3-2 Habs regardless, because Martin will find a way to keep his job.

It's been a long day, so seeing the name "Darchen" made me laugh. He sounds German.

Man, it's anyone's guess as to what our D will look like though...

Why is Gomez at center where he is atrocious at face-offs? And that's the reason we GOT Nokelainen?

Then again, Pleks is still on the point..

If we win does this mean Spacek and Gill sit for 8 games like Emelin did? While Emelin is -3, he was only on ice for three goals against in 9 games. For the record also Diaz is on pace for 13 points as an offensive defenseman. This is while getting 20 minutes a night and plenty of PP time. Oh well. At least with this many injuries Martin will be forced to play Emelin more than 7 minutes, since Subban/Gorges and Diaz/Weber can't play 26 minutes each.

Were are Christian Laflamme and Patrick Traverse when you need them? Woah what a terrible defense we have... Lots of potential but thats it.

Nice GDT.

Reunited as the theme is very appropriate.

Darchen was a nice touch as well.

Except a nice big loss from the Canadiens.

This team deserves a top pick so that we can re-build and be a cup contender year round.

There are 3 teams in the east that the habs seem to never play well against (in my opinion) : sabres, lightning and hurricanes

I still hope for the best

Awards:
The good
-Eric Staal has 8 points in 18 games and is a -17 so far.
-Hurricanes have lost it's last two games in Montreal.
-Hurricanes have an on-going trend this season of being bad in the first period. The same period that the Habs love to dominate.
-Mike Cammalleri looks like he may play, was practicing in a red jersey in Brossard.

The bad
-Eric Staal has scored a goal and two assists in his last two games, slump may be on it's last breath.
-Eric Staal has seven goals and eight assists in his last eight games against Montreal.
-Montreal is 2 for 20 on the powerplay in the last few games.
-Andrei Kostitsyn's injury looking like it may be worse than we thought.

The ugly
-Hurricanes, before losing the last two, went 11-0-2 in the last 13 games in Montreal, including three playoff game wins.
-Frédéric St-Denis
-Hal Gill out again which means the Habs penalty kill will suffer.
-Frédéric St-Denis. Good God.

ohmygod that defense... the real game should be to guess the score, it should be to guess the lenght of the PGT

hurricane wins it, say, 4-1, just so that this board can continue it's slide into madness. i predict a 25-page PGT.

staal scores 4
cole is the only scorer for the habs, assisted by staal
staal named first, second, third and fourth star

Reading the first few posts, it looked like the Habs were in the middle of a terrible streak.

Long day ahead, Habs better cheer me up tonight.

To those who are saying that this D is as bad as when Traverse was here...come on. There was NEVER anything as painful as watching him and Daikhus (or however you spell his name) in our top four...

Traverse
Quintal
Dykhuis
Markov
Souray
Brisebois
Jarventie
Bouillon
Robidas
Rivet

That's the guys that played in 2001-2002.

In both losses to Buffalo this season, we've badly outplayed them, save for one period in the last game.

I wouldn't be surprised at this one actually, it's been 8 games since the blowout over Philly, and 7 games before that was the blowout over Winnipeg. We're due for that occasional one-game breakout.
