Not necessarily, they're replacing Boulton on the roster.

I forgot that they had put Boulton on IR

so it doesnt necessarily mean Kovy is out

i'd rest Kovy as long as possible anyway. Make sure his injury is healed up. We don't want a Patty situation, where he compensates from one injury but aggravating something else. It's not like a fractured foot or something where you play through the pain. He can very easily pull his groin or mess up his hip, if he's not fully healed

Do people think he will slot in on a line with Tedenby? I could see that as a good match. I think he would cover for Ted on D and be able to distribute the puck to him better than those that Ted has been with lately.

I'm all for it, personally.

Were playing the caps tonight, not the Canes and Jets. As far as re-injuring I really think there's no chance, he only pulled a muscle.

Hopefully this puts an end to the public outcry of no Zharkov. Let's see how he does.

I also feel bad for Pelley, but thus is the NHl.

Hope he gets a look playing with Zach and Kovy. He has the defensive, passing and speed skills to fit in nicely.

I think Pete will see if he has rounded his game and will use his strengths better than the preseason before he thinks about sticking him with the big 2.

Hell yah

He's been doing good in Albany leading the team in assists with less games played and he has developed a bit of a mean streak as well.

it's not about reinjuring... it's about injuring something else, because his body subconsciously compensates and puts extra pressure on other parts of his body. 1 1/2 weeks becomes a month and a half... until he finally takes all the time needed. Sit him till Tuesday.

I hope he did. Seeing how Henrique further refined his game is a good sign, and hopefully Vlad takes the same route.

He needs to come up as hungry as Henrique did and demand to stay with his play.

All this means is that Pelley will sit. Hopefully Zharkov makes the most of this chance. I'd love it if he developed a scoring touch and went on a Henrique like tear.

Zharkov will have to be placed on waivers again before returning to Albany.

When Boulton returns a move will have to be made.

Could be Pelley to Albany.

I think Pelley's time in newark is ticking to an end.

Not if it's an emergency recall because Boulton was added to the IR...right?
