Milbury shouldn't be in a studio. He is just a small-minded little ass who selects things that confirms his opinions. My journalist friend once shared an elevator with a crowd including Milbury, when he saw his press credentials (he's a Swede) he started a tirade about "****ing Euros" destroying the league. "Thelma and Louise"...I'd say he's a closet gay."
Hmm, where to begin. Didn't catch the first goal comment, so I cannot offer anything. Be it Milbury, Pierre, or whomever, tone is a subjective thing and I could understand why you and others would be offended by his attitude. I do find it humorous however, when fans on a hockey board imply that they a guy who has made a living in the game, at every level, knows nothing about the sport. As for his tirade, as reported by your friend: indefensible, if true. So too, however, is baselessly labeling someone a closet gay, but that's just my opinion.
All of this aside, do you disagree with his comment about the Devils noobs learning the small things about the game and doing so well?
I'm happy when actual hockey people point these things out, because I care about the insight, rather than the personality. Clealy you (and a others) don't. Different focus and priorities, I guess.
Yeah. I care about personality when they are in a TV studio.
