First 8 games: 1-5-2
Last 10 games: 7-2-1

Nice.
And the Leafs just lost Grabovski for at least 2 weeks!!

We play that game against the Laffs or Bs or Rags and we lose. Thankfully it was the Canes who have been and are just horrid this season.

Didn't we just beat the Bruins twice when having the lead in the third? I thought they always sit back on a lead...maybe the bruins did beat us twice this year, let me go back and check, I must be wrong!

they must be anti-french or poor programers. They didn't use the appropriate codes for the construction of the site therefore it doesn't deal well with the é !

You shoulod try taking off the HABS rosey coloured glasses and watch the game for what actually goes on in the game and not just look at the scoreboard and eat up all the crap our french announcers tend to feed you.

Bwahaha! Seriously though, glad it was Carolina in town tonight to help us build on the momentum and confidence. Man, they are just plain terrible. I'm almost kinda sorta disappointed that we didn't get to 7 or 8 goals, but I guess they do have a guy named Cam Ward back there, so even dominating the skaters doesn't necessarily mean you're going to pour in goals.

And you should know that after 60 minutes.. it's just a game and it wouldn't kill you to put on a smile and have a good ol positive attitude. It's not life or death for you, it's a hockey game.

If your finding a reason to complain after a 4-0 win.. you are taking hockey too damn seriously.

Yes we did and thankfully it was while the Bs were in the tank if we played them now we would suffer a serious ass kicking.

4-0 win and some people are still dissapointed!!! We really have the worst fanbase!

We could win the cup and people would be upset if we did not win in 4 games every series. Hahaha

Actually, looking at the stats sheet it looks like Caronlina played a good third period and had a chance to at least tie. Watching the game however, they still didn't have very many dangerous chances. They never had a chance to win this game.

0 goal allowed in 9 attempts on the PK, all this without the magical and irreplaceable Gill.

Emelin, like Weber, like Diaz, simply need to play, regularly, in order to improve his game. He played a terrific game tonight, he's starting to time his hits a lot better, his positioning has also improved quite a bit. Man, Emelin next to Hammer would have looked amazing.

I have been a fan since the 60s and unlike many who feel just getting into the playoffs is acceptable I do not unless the boys bring home a cup the season is a dissapointment. As a fan who lived through many of our glory days in the 70s I am not happy with just squeeking into the playoffs.

You realize we were 1-5-2 before playing the Bruins? You realize we were behind the Bruins before facing them?

Give it a rest man.

Entitlement complex: mastered by Habs fans around the province.

The Bs were just as bad and couldn't buy a goal thankfully and look how well we did against the Leafs I am pretty sure we are 0-2 against them but that is different right cus well they are the Leafs.

Teams that lead tend to get out-shot, it's not a phenomena that only Montreal suffers from. Shot for/shot against ratios for 2003-2008 (posts with more modern data focuses on fenwick or corsi rather than shots on goal so I link here for ease of understanding):

http://www.mc79hockey.com/?p=3119

Teams rarely lead by 3+ goals so there's a lot of statistical noise in the +3 to +5 and -5 to -3 sections. You'll notice that only one team, Detroit, maintained SF/SA ratios close to 1.00 in all leading states for the time period 2003-2008. A time period where they were the best team in the league.

Just wanted to say that Emelin was fantastic tonight. By far his best game in a Habs jersey. Hope he keeps it up!
