yes and i hope to see him on the pp soon.

JM need to move pleks back down to the mid boards where he is more effective. ive said it before ppl on the forum have said it and RayFerraro said it all night on TSN. i just dont understand what JM is waiting for to realize this.

put emelin on the PP point he has a smart shot.

i guess JM does not trust him enough yet. but after tonights game i say he deserves more ice time!

It was his best game, but it was his first chance to really show what he could do with some icetime.

I clicked on NHL.com to check the score since I missed the game and saw that we won 4-0. I noticed in the boxscore that Darche had zero PP time and Cole racked up some PP minutes.

I am going to compliment Jacques for that. Was Pleks on the point?

Go Habs Go. Nice to see a shutout.

Missed the game but glad to see this from Emelin.

About damned time that JM gives him playing time. Sorta like last year with Subban when injuries forced JM to play PK.

Outstanding.

Makes the D situation ever more interesting. For my part, I've been a huge fan of Emelin's from the start, but these last couple of games he's proved that he deserves to play at this level.

Sick of that a-hole.
Guy's on pace for 255 hits as a defenseman. Phaneuf 2.0?

I was impressed by this defensive group tonight. Not a lot of experience, but they played their hearts out.

I think it is safe to say that Habs fans would be thrilled if he can develop into a Volchenkov type of player.
Defiantly a great game for him. I'm glad to see it too! He blocked 7 of the 21 overall blocked shots.

hope it keeps up, but Carolina wasn't playing very well so it was a good chance for him to gain some confidence with some ice time too..

People are WHINING we sat back in the 3rd?

You should be ecstatic they did!

The 4-0 lead allowed Martin to tell his players to go easy in the third, and rest Pleky, Gorges, Subban, Cammalleri... we're playing tomorrow damnit!

That makes our winning chances that much better against the isles, and frankly we can let those 2 points go down the crapper.

martin apparently lost his **** when we got the "too much man" penalty.

and by losing his **** i mean: slapped the glass behind him and murmuring stuff to himself.

to be fair, there should not have been a penalty and emelin (was it not him?) should know better than to pass right in front of the bench during a change.

Seriously though. I thought I saw two guys go off, and only one come on (Cammy). Even if one of the guys didn't get all the way off the ice (I'm looking at you Gomez, 'cause you were last guy gliding to the bench), there weren't too many men.

Emelin is one nasty son of *****. Toughness, say hello to Montreal. Now, it's time for the two to make sweet monkey love. And no, daddy Martin won't be stoppin' them.

No one takes your plaint seriously and repetition doesn't make it better. You sound like a vinyl LP with a bit of grit that won't allow the stylus to advance.

You wanna bet? When the injuries are over Emelin will Togo back to the stands and he will have to start the whole process all over again, just watch.

That's how Martin rolls, he lives and does with the veterans no matter the potential of the kid..

I was really impressed with Emelin last night. He used his body really well to maintain puck possession and made smart plays. He was much more solid positionally.

Gotta give the Habs young D credit despite the Hurricanes looking like a team that stopped caring.

Nice to have that Erik Cole guy on our side too.

As others where, I was impressed how the young D held up last night. Gorges was a beast out there, hitting, making plays, etc. That being said we were playing a sub par Carolina team. I just hope we can continue on this stretch and keep moving up the standings. If we can be in the 7th or 8th spot when Markov gets back, who knows how much more we could move up with him running the PP.
