December Individual Tickets - Random Draw

Does anyone know if I can give my access code and link to a friend to buy tickets on Sat Nov 19th for the December home games? Does anyone have experience doing this? What are the rules? Please let me know. Thanks.

I would assume the access code can only be used once ..

Ya I'd like to know too. I'm thinking it has to be their credit card that buys the tickets but I could be wrong.

I think the name and particulars you registered with have to match the code provided.

Also, you are only eligible to win the lottery once, so if you give your tickets away, thats it.

From the email you will have received:

"The name and address you used to enter the random draw MUST match the name and address you use to purchase your seats."

That's interesting because in the email I received, it does not say that anywhere.

However, if that is the case, I am wondering how is it enforced?

They charge your credit card and when they realize that the names are different they revoke your order without refunding you the money.

I (myself and family members) have now won 4 times with the 4th coming for this draw. The ticketmaster account must be under the name of the draw winner, but the credit card holder doesn't have to be the same. Also know that it is the credit card holder who must pick up the tickets.

So if your real question is due to you not being able to be online on saturday, can u get ur friend to get u the tickets the answer is yes, but you would need to give him access to ur ticketmaster account.

Im frustrated with the way they are selling their tickets. They say its to make it fair for everyone. But for me fair is giving everyone an equal shot at going. I love the mad rush to get tickets at a 10 am launch. TN failed miserably

I can't believe there are 12 games next month.

So what do you propose instead? It's easy to say they 'failed miserably' but I'd like to see your plan.

It was on an email I received for last month. I guess things are changing month to month!

Toronto and Montreal do things differently for the individual game tickets, but is it really any better?

Toronto's first half home regular season games were put up for sale at 10 am ET on a Saturday some time in September. I managed to score a pair for the Jets January 5th game on my phone's browser, but that was it. With the mad dash for tickets, you pretty much only have one opportunity to grab a pair and once you check out, there's likely not any more available for other games you'd like to attend.

Montreal made you log in to a "virtual waiting room" before 10 am ET on a Saturday in September just to have the opportunity to buy up to 4 tickets to a single game. You were chosen at random, and even then, it did not guarantee you'd get a pair for the game you'd want. Additionally, on the 15th of every month, they release an additional 200 tickets for the home games the following month. For example, on November 15th, the December home games went on sale. I can't imagine anyone's odds being that good if there were only 200 additional tickets available per game.

I'm kind of digging how the Jets are doing their individual game tickets, on the month-by-month basis. This has allowed me to score pairs of tickets in a section that I'd prefer for a few games. This even allowed me to buy 6 tickets (including 4 in a row) in the upperbowl for the Tampa Bay game (using different credit cards, of course), so I could sell off the ones I weren't using to my friends so they'd have the opportunity to go.

So... after spending 20 minutes on hold with TM, I talked to a lovely Southern lady who had no idea what I was talking about. I am now being transferred to Canadian Sales *crosses fingers*

Seriously? Wow, none of my friends or family members have won. I'm having the worst luck trying to get tickets this year, and all I want to see is one game!

Oh well, I guess i'll keep trying.

For those not winning, take comfort in the fact that I won last month and still had to settle for seats one in front of the other rather than side by side. When the sale opened to the draw winners, which wouldn't have been many people given the number of home games in November, Ticketmaster was crashing constantly. There's not a lot for the draw winners to choose from because a lot of tickets are still held for player families and league officials, which don't get released for sale until much closer to the game.

If you did win the draw, don't expect a lot of lower bowl seats to be available. Plan accordingly. It'll be a mad rush when the sale opens to the draw winners.

I figured that if I was going to win it would be for December with so many home games.
No luck for me.

It's not bad, especially when you're on the end of the row. You can turn around and make remarks during play without leaning over someone beside you. I'd take good lower bowl seats one in front of the other over a pair in P7, but that's just me.

I don't want to sound like I'm complaining. I just wanted to give the draw winners a heads up of what little will be available. You definitely have to go on right when the tickets go on sale.

Does anyone know how long random draw winners get to purchase the tickets? Is it right up until game day or only a few hours?

Random draw winners have until Wednesday afternoon, I think. I got two for the Ducks game this morning, it wasn't really a hard decision.
