11/17/11 - 7:30PM EDT - Pittsburgh vs Tampa Bay

ARENA: St. Pete Times Forum, Tampa Bay
TV: NHLN-US, ROOT, SUN(HD)
RADIO: 970 WFLA
STREAMS:

GUY BOUCHER:
Quote:
  • "Right now it's about us. Obviously we have to know their tendencies and things we have to be aware of but whether we're defending against Crosby, or Malkin, or Neal or any of these guys we're going to have our hands full."
Quote:
  • "I think that people are overlooking how good their other players are. If you look down their roster they got Kennedy on their third line and their fourth line is one of the good fourth lines in the league with Asham and Adams. They're big boys. They got guys like Kunitz..so to me when I look at their lineup they got speed, they got grit, they got smarts on all four lines. They're coming at you every time they're on the ice. They're dedicated, they've won before, and most of their players have won there before, and it carries on. They're well coached, they got outstanding defensemen, probably the most difficult defensemen to forecheck in the league, and their goaltender's good. So there's not many flaws in there.''
STEVEN STAMKOS:
Quote:
  • "Just worry about our agenda, and that's it. I didn't even think about (Crosby not playing), to be honest, because we look at them as one of the best teams in the league right now. They are playing really well right now, they have some guys who have stepped up and played well. We are preparing like they are one of the top teams in the east, which they are, and for us to be in the game we are going to have to play solid defensively and that's the structure for us."

LET'S GO BOLTS!

I always saw you as more of a NY/NJ or even Boston type guy.

Play like we did against the Jets and it'll be 11-2. Let's hope the player's only meeting after being embarrassed in The Peg worked.

This could only have been worse if you said Buffalo or Philly.

Anywho, the Bolts have a great home record against the Pens, and I hope tonight will get them out of the funk they've been in.

According to Boucher Malone is close and would definitely be playing if it was the playoffs: http://video.lightning.nhl.com/video...d=55&id=135542

Also, nice face at ~2:20:

I just want a good effort out of the team. The last few games have been absolutely brutal to watch. Not even entertaining in the slightest.

The background image on the Lightning website is back to a useable form for your own desktop.

Right click near Marty or Stammer > 'View Background Image'

It's inadvertently funny. (speaking about Malone) "If he plays tommorrow, y'know, it's great for hockey."

The context is the key here. This is a game where the media was asking about Crosby, and if he'd play. The connotation I think was being implied is very different, but that's sort of the way I heard it.

also,

"Their fort line is one of the good fort lines in the league."

Does he have an evil goatee?

I'd also assume he wouldn't have a Movember mustache, as Evil Asham would be in favor...of...prostate...cancer...?

Maybe Evil Asham plays for Gary Boucher on the "St. Pete Thunder"

Hopefully Bugsy can play. Pens will be a little PO'd at us for obvious reasons so we better come out ready to go.

#Pens Bylsma: Fleury in goal. Rest of the lineup will be a game-time decision

#Pens don't seem to be worried about the Lightning's 1-3-1 trap. Consensus was that coming at the Bolts with speed will help solve it
Quote:
Bylsma: The slower the game is the harder it is to beat the 1-3-1. That’s not something we want to do. We aren’t looking to play a slow game

1-3-1 would be unbeatable if Kubina or Ohlund were faster....

How many more times will I have to hear about Hedman's hit on Cindy and that it put him out of the game? We should be allowed to beat people that even mention it.
