Washington Capitals (10-5-1)
Winnipeg Jets (6-9-3)
Fix your own posts. I'm looking forward to the game. The Caps ought to be in good shape against these guys. I'm glad they play twice in a week's time. That's not a very good team and the Caps are one of the East's upper-tier clubs, identity crisis notwithstanding.
Setting aside the score, though, I really just meant I'm looking forward to seeing the Caps play the Jets at all. Cool to see them back in the league. Stinks that it had to come at the expense of the Thrashers, though. ****ing Waddell.
Two months ago people jumped all over me for saying we will never be able to count on Mike Green staying on the ice. Never mind a 20+ game playoff run when the for check will be pounding him even more. The longer we wait the less his value will be.
And I know he is a vary dynamic and at time dominant player when he is on the ice. The key point being WHEN ON THE ICE.
I would much rather have a lesser player that we could count on. Then the best one that is never on the ice.
The book is out on Mike Green. He came back and it took less then 10min for someone to sit him down again. He will forever have a target on his back.
Side Note - If you were the owner. How long would sit back and let your 9.5 million dollar investment suffer. OV has been down for close to two years now. If I had to put a date on things. I would say the winter Olympics. If BB can not coach him to play. He needs to go just to try to protect the 9.5 million dollar investment.
And yes BB has don't a great job. With the young players. That is because he in a minor league hockey coach. He does not have the tools to lead a pro NHL team. Its either he does not have the skills to teach them. Or they don't respect him enough to follow his lead.
