No but even a great player needs a coach with minimal competence.

There's a difference in what you're saying, which is that a coaching change might be needed because the players aren't responding to the coach, and what I'm saying, which is that the players are doing dumb things that aren't necessarily the fault of the coach.

You can believe with all your might that the coach might need to go, but if you're also saying that the team is playing poorly because they've quit on the coach, then the coach is absolved of any blame that you're attributing to him because the players are making a conscious decision to tune him out.

Again. I think the team is treading water with the guy here, but that's no excuse for professional players playing like peewees.

I wonder if the "Company Line" really thinks calling Caps fans that think BB is in fact incompetent a "bunch of morons" or whatever else is somehow going to persuade anyone around here to give up the fight to get that Simpleton far far away from this team before he ruins these guys for life is somehow going to work.

The status quo simply means supporting an organization with a legacy of losing. Too many diehard Caps fans are tired of it.

That's ridiculous. Coaches coach, players play.
You blame the coach for lack of discipline. If the player refuses to listen then you blame the GM for not getting rid of said player.

You don't waive you hands in the air as if there's ****ing nothing you can do about it and let the inmates run the asylum.

The leadership on this team, starting at the top, is delusional.

Can't tell if OV just doesn't care or if he has absolutely no confidence.

Imagine if we made a move for Regehr with Schultz going the other way and signed Souray. Hindsight (on Souray, Regehr everyone knew was a badass) but damn would this team be stacked. Not that it matters with Bruce but a man can dream.

When it comes to the caps the only people who deserve to be smug around them are the people who bet large sums of money against them in the playoffs.

This board is ridiculous.

Can't make up your minds about who you want to blame.

I blame players for doing dumb things that are clearly not coached by any coach anywhere. I blame the coach for making dumb coaching decisions. I blame the managers for mismanaging.

And that's all I've got to say on it. You guys can stick to your plan for mass fanicide. It's pathetic.

So when every hockey expert in the world thinks this is a loaded team, GMGM should go while the captain who steers the ship into icebergs should stay. Makes a hell of a lot of sense.

You know with george brown capping at the ceiling this year, he has left himself little room to work with. Any moves he makes are going to have to be big.

This sure looks like last year's team, from the early season success to the apparent early winter nose dive...

If their stated goal is to practice good habits this season en route to competing for a Championship they are failing miserably.

Yeah those pens sure were a bunch of loser peewees for tuning out Therrien. And the Flyers certainly rolled over after tuning out Stevens. No excuses there nosireebob.

Great to see a team back in Winnipeg. Two of my favorite teams playing while growing up. Meanwhile, this is possibly the worst Caps performance of the year. This may beat the Dallas game. Even my dog is shaking his head at the Caps play. Hamrlik should have retired. Here's the the third period.

I've never really thought it was smart to make Ovi captain. Its right about that time that he started going downhill (for him). Its like he takes it too personally to do well and put the team on his back. While those are good traits of a captain, its like its a job for him and he has to try and work to do it and simply has too much on his mind.

I think someone like Knuble or Laich would be better and allow Ovi to just simply be Ovi with no responsibility and the freedom to just do what he does with no pressure.

It doesn't help that our FO has way too many apologists in the local media.

Instead of carrying over the 55 minutes from Nashville, they carried over the 5
