lol, I remember that now.

Anyway, if Carter really did ask for a trade, I honestly wouldn't blame him. I'd personally rather see Nash gone but I sincerely doubt either happens, at least for now.

Not a bad question actually, maybe someone can ask Regier on his next 5 o'clock pre-game show, just before his team shows up lathargic for the first period of the game, then wakes up to find itself 2 goals down going into the second and pinning their hopes on Roy again.............

Carter wouldn't even need to play with Iginla to make me want him. Carter is still young and plays the most valuable position in hockey.

But with that said, as much as I would like him, we can't afford to give up the farm for him.

If that happened to anyone, i'd feel bad for them.
Was it not his fault getting traded away from Philly in the first period for his "party habits"?

Sounds like a starting point, then throw in a PMD, take your pick.....
Leopold
Sekera
Gragnani

Buffalo isn't lacking in prospects on the D side either......

Could be something worked out here........

Buffalo did just do a move that was baffling to many, they called up TJ Brennan for the weekend games, didn't make sense to many........

Not too surprising but I think Carter won't be fetching as much as he did from Philly to Columbus.

His injury history is worrisome to say the least.

Here is my obligatory Leafs proposal

CBJ

Carter
Pahlsson

TOR

Kadri
Komiserek
Lombardi
2nd 2012

They can have the Monster if they think they can turn him around.

Oh come on. I get that it might be a little early for him to want to give up, but I can understand his unhappiness.

Let's say you agree to work for Google in San Jose and one year after you start, you are somehow forced to work for a small company in the Northwest Territories. You wouldn't be upset? Now consider that you'd have to do that for the next 10 years or so.

I get that hockey is a different animal and that trades are part of the business (and it doesn't hurt that he makes 5M a year), but he's still a human being who can be upset.

Avs offer Barrie, Gaunce, Galliardi, and a 2nd

Probably not enough, but two Top 4 Potential D prospects a 2nd/3rd Liner and a 2nd in a deep draft. Not Horrible but I think CBJ could get some mroe proven talent for Carter!

Zibanejad, Lee, 3rd 2012. Any interest in that package? I'm sure some sens fans won't like this, but just trying to gauge value.

Also, what this guy said:

I don't blame Carter one bit - it's not like he ever agreed to go to Columbus. He has no duty to stay there, just like the Google example.

Columbus needs to get better now. Need NHL players. If Burke is smart he'll offer Gunnarson, Franson, Connolly for salary reasons, ++ he can afford to give up two NHL dmen. If Columbus is interested Gustavson should be part of the deal -- Rotten Ronnie has ruined him -- he can still be good.

Pretty much anything except Kessel, Phaneuf, Gardiner, Schenn should be available.

Next years first would be risky and should be kept out but I see Columbus looking for a 1st in a deal.

Very much agree, I don't even question this. If he puts out that word is he asked for a trade and his agent denied it, you can bet there is something to it.

Well trade but you get the point. The guy has been a complete bust, i knew he would the day the trade was annouced. Carters over inflated ego is too big for the organization to handle. Look it, already quitting on his team 20 games into the season?

Holy hell hes not going to the leafs. Their isnt going to be a trade with them so stop with the Franson Kadri Gunnarsson deals. We gave up Voracek and Couturier, think that kind of value. I dont believe this is true but if it is, he can gtfo. Get players who want to play on Columbus.
