Hoping we turn our home woes around and start making Pepsi Center a happy place once again.

Very critical stretch coming up. GO AVS!!

I was watching both Avs & Broncos last night (interesting experience but it's been done before). I was so bummed about the Wild scoring that late goal... but man, that 4th quarter last night was one for the record books, literally. Longest TD run by a QB in the 4th qtr to win the game in NFL history.

Hoping there's some magic left over to help the Avs turn their home record around. This home stretch will play a significant role in the fate of this team for the rest of the season. Do good and we're back in it... otherwise, it's tough sledding from here on out.

Probably not going to watch this. It's at 3AM for me and i'll be at a party celebrating a good friend's birthday.
I'll check out the score on my iPhone and the good news: I'll be drunk so I won't care as much

Play hard or get packing.
This. Without a 1st, the term "job security" definitely needs to go out the window.

During our losing streak there have been several games we deserved to win and where we played well. If Hejduks shot in the post goes in and we win 1-0 last night everyone would be happy because we played really well defensively and Giguere played well. If Pittsburgh don't get two fluke goals and get back into the game we win that one and everyone are delighted. But with a loss it all feels like it's for nothing.

If the Avs keep playing the way we have (which is far from perfect I think everyone would agree) and we get even average goaltending we'll win more than we lose.

This is going to be an ugly one, no doubt about it in my mind.

I'll go with 4-1 Stars, but also feeling a 5-0 drubbing as a possibility as well.

Varly will likely be bad.

Is it a given that Varly will start? I personally would not mind giving Giguere more starts. ...it is a back-to-back... but who knows.

Going to DC for the weekend so I won't be able to catch this one. Starting to get real disappointed with managements lack of concern. Been following this team since their inception and honestly we are currently a complete mess. Fire the coach and see where we stand after that. I don't wanna see trades before sacco is tossed.

Agreed. I will lose faith in management all while having no faith in coaching. Really getting nervous that someone could be traded before Sacco is canned.

Did it involve some form of probing?

You've been saying that for like 10 games, but obviously they just keep losing instead.

They don't deserve to lose the way they have been lately. Sports isn't always perfectly fair. In the long run it evens out.

This should be the LAST STRAW for Sacco, if not, shame on Avs management for making the Varly trade. Absolutely brutal. I don't think too many people would be AS pissed if we still had our first rounder but since we DON'T, they have to act.
Yup your absolutely right. Not only that but this is said to be a good draft. If we had that 1st round pck we could be drafting a guy named Forsberg Having said that I would love to play poker against Sherman prolly make a killing off that former Toys r us employee of the month.

Yeah i know about that awful record since this morning . I guess none of us realized how bad things were b4 we saw that link in the fired Sacco thread. What i meant by my comment is that i dont think Dallas will outplay us tonight. I expect some offence, after the game we had last night. I have the feeling we'll have a good game .

Perhaps, however, why is it that almost every single game, someone brings up something that's a no-brainer, something that Sacco should have done differently???

I'm telling you right now, be prepared for the Avs to play one of their worst games of the year tonight.

As soon as they fire Sacco, I expect Stastny to have a 4 point game.

100% with you , something must be going on , Stastny is not the player that he once was , something must be wrong between him and Sacco. Stastny has not been the shadow of himself since Sacco got behind the bench .

Stazz really hasnt been himself since his dad pimp smacked this team for lack of synergies.
