It was awesome haha. Even after he scored he looked as if he wasn't sure whether to celebrate or not

Saw the highlights real quick, but really looked like Greening touched the puck after Spezza's faceoff win for Michaleks goal

a lot of teams are hurting for d-men atm.

Anyone mind telling me what the Daugy West Edmonton Mall roller-coaster story was that Mendes mentioned in his Twitter? I was watching the NHL network feed, so I missed it.

I think Butler's got his mojo back, he looked aggressive all night, even on the 4th line.

ps Filatov if you're watching, playing like that on the 4th line is how you earn the right to play in the top 6

Basically they said that Daugavins/Condra went to the West Edmonton Mall and it took Condra forever to get Daugavins to actually get on the ride. Daugavins had never been on a rollercoaster before, much to Dean Brown's surprise considering all of the Latvian theme parks he has heard of, and Condra stated that he regrets not picking up the photo taken to see the look on Daugavin's face.

Edmonton was down to 4 d-men 1/2 way through last night's game. With a little more forechecking we couldn't forced an in-game trade.

Maybe Lee has earned his time and Rundblad hasn't. Shocking concept isn't it.

i like your holier-than-thou tone. you must be the resident rent-a-cop in these parts. it's no secret murray's been trying to move lee for the past couple seasons, but hasn't liked the offers, probably due to lack of playing time. it wasn't a knock on lee, so you can simmer down a bit.

I think Lee playing is part of the new coaching philosophy in Ottawa. It is a long season and players are going to get a chance to play on different nights. Lots of coaches say this but not as many put it into practice because they gotta win games. Maclean seems to be a picture guy Sapping guys in and out of the line up is proof to me.
Butler has looked better the last three games. Good CANADIAN lad making the most of his opportunity

Until recently we had not won a game with Lee in the lineup. Now he is in and we are winning. If we lose, likely Rundblad goes back in and Lee is out.

Maclean said Rundblad is a better player. And he is but he is going to have to earn the full time spot. Lee has no upside at all. None. This is what you are getting. Rundblad is all upside. Eventually Rundblad is getting every game unless he totally regresses.

You should relay that opinion to Paul Maclean because as recently as a week ago, he flat out said that Rundblad was the better player than Lee.

The reason that Lee is getting icetime now is because of a simple formula:

(Carkner = hurt) + (Rundblad being protected from tougher schedule than he's used to) + (not wanting to mess with the lineup while winning) + (showcasing for a trade) = Lee's unwarranted continued inclusion in the lineup

Lee is in cause Maclean doesn't like changing lineups after a win. Pretty simple

I agree with the above, but Lee's being showcased for a trade is speculation. I wonder if Lee's being in the lineup more than Rundblad is in part to due to Neil's absence (ankle, 9 mos pregnant wife). Neil covers a lot of ice out there, and for a forward, he brings a steadying presence.

I don't think his inclusion is unwarranted because we are riding a three game winning streak. You can't argue with success.

Lee is in because he is playing well and the Sens are winning. He's contributing and helping the team and that's why he will probably stay in the lineup.

Anybody else feel his hit on Condra in the first was aimed at the head? I wonder if Shanahan will be having a word with him.

Discuss.

Not sure what tricking goal you are talking about but ya, the 1st goal was a bit weak, he went way too soon on his knees and it wasn't a "bullet" at all like some oilers fan mentionned in the GDT, at least not for a NHL goalie.

Knowing that he was struggling on face-offs, why didn't Foligno take more face-offs as the game went on? Seems weird.

He's not from France... He's from Paris, which is a different country in itself, like Quebec vs rest of Canada.
