Strikes me as a potential let down game. Hopefully we have the same focus as on Wednesday.

Was just thinking the same thing, actually.

Hopefully it's just my inherent paranoia with my teams.

wouldn't it be funny if this would be Iggys last game for the Flames after he joins us

What's with the Iginla talk, I don't want him eating up $7m of the cap next year.

Emery started vs. Flames last game, I'd rather they mix it up and start him vs. Edmonton.

just some fun to talk about. We won't go after Iggy, but it's nice that we have the chance to talk about it - now that we have Cap Space.

No, I'd have to say last time's result would be a good reason to play Em tonight.

Plus, I'd rather he go up against the forward corps of the Flames than Hall-RNH-Eberle.

I can see our guys coming out a bit flat for this one. Just a hunch.

As I recall they had at least one very poor game against Flames last year. Flames play the physical game at home so it will be the likes of Mayers, Carcillo and Scott who need to rise to the occasion, but stay out of the box in doing so. We need to play the possession and speed game tonight... and imo, the first 10 minutes will be crucial to establishing that.

I think the Flames win a gritty game in OT. 3-2.

Sharp (7) PP, Bolland (6).

Setting two points as the goal, but one point or a close loss as acceptable.

They smoked us 7-2 last year on this same trip. Iginla had a hat trick, and Turco let in all 7 of those goals.

Could be the classic letdown game after having a huge one, but I think with Smith coming and maybe an Emery in net they might get up for it. Hawks don't always play very well in Calgary though if my memory serves me correctly.

That 4th line worries me a little. It has the chance to be effective, but those guys are all so young.

Forgot about Smith.

Hopefully we get a lot of grit out of him tonight.

Tracy Myers says that Crawford is starting tonight.

I kind of like Bicklell on that line. Maybe Smith can get him going? If he doesn't, then just get rid of his ass already.

4-2 Hawks with the stars coming out tonight. Toews, Monty, and Kane followed by EN for Bolland.

Seems like the only thing the Flames want this year is their coach fired. That's how they've been playing, anyway.

Roger that. Up until now a lot of guys point to the low cap hit as a reason to keep him. That may have been true but we're no longer in cap hell. Might be an idea to even showcase him now and move him while he still has perceived value.

It's good to know the only thing Marty will be filling is a desk on NHL network
