And what happens if one our goalies gets injured?

I've never been a fan of his, being from the GTA, and having seen him play more than a few times.. I'm just not a fan. I'm not even really sure what it is tbh, I just don't like him.

Use that cap space to make a trade or bring Huet back. I think Salak can start bur if Crawford goes down, we need to bring in a starter.

I must admit that this is very tempting if BB is serious and offers up the right player. Of course there is always a risk but the real question is: is Salak ready for the NHL?

Grabovski? MacArthur?
Id love any deal that could bring Grabovski in to be our No2 Centre

Um, why?

Crawford hasn't looked great this year. He could be on the verge of a sophomore slump. We need an experienced backup to take some of the pressure off of him.

Salak is 1-5 with a .882 SV%. That is terrible. You can blame it on him not making the team or him having a kid, but until he proves himself he can't be relied on. There is simply no reason to trade Emery right now considering he has been a complete success so far.

Carcillo and Mayers have been a successful signing as well. Should we move them now so we can get value back because we got him for free? Of course not.

I wouldn't blame Crawford too much or see him as in a sophomore slump as he has been left hung out to dry by the defense far too many times. He is more frustrated than anything and rightfully so. Out side of the top 4 defense, the rest have been pathetic with no depth to compensate when either Keith or Seabs goes down with an injury. When one goes down, the other is forced to play far too many minutes because they can't count on Montador, Scott, LePisto or O'Donnell to pick up the slack and even though Leddy has been a very pleasant surprise, it is not good to put so much pressure on him being so young and it causes him to make more rookie mistakes. Acquiring a big 3/4 defensive defense man is what the Hawks need right now. I commend Crawford for how well he has been playing considering the big lack of defense in front of him. If it wasn't for him, the Hawks would have been blown out a lot worse than just 6 to 2, 5 to 2, etc.

Ya, let's trade our decent backup so we can have an even worse back up and lose more games.

Sounds like an idea Bowman would do

Can we close this thread?

Dude, you had guys shooting top shelf and passing in the offensive zone. You can't blame Emery for any of those goals. How dare you.

I figured the most annoying part of this loss would be seeing you come back out with the bull "I told you so" posts about Emery after his first truly terrible game, which was also his first regulation loss.

Even though that terrible game was shared with both Crawford and the entire team as a whole.

You haven't disappointed.

Everyone was awful in this loss. Blaming Emery alone is a piss-poor excuse.

All I did was repeat what Steve, Pat and Edzo were saying all night. Are you trying to say they don't know goaltending?

Not defending Emery, but Salak would of let in 12 goals last night.
