Biron 14-11-0-1 record in 28 career regular season games vs. Montreal, including a 2.36 goals against average and two shutouts.

According to Larry Brooks, over Henrik Lundqvist's last seven starts in Montreal, he has a 5.17 GAA and .841 save percentage.

For his career at the Bell Centre, Lundqvist is 4-4-2, but in those 10 games he has given up 39 goals. In 20 career games versus Montreal Lundqvist is 10-8-2. For his career, he has a been a .500 goalie against the Canadiens, at best.

Didn't Marty start in Montreal last season? Not much of a surprise that he'd get a chance to start there again.

I'm expecting a big game out of Avery in Quebec

Hopefully the GAS line gets back on the scoresheet and the Rangers can find a way to grab their 8th straight. I'd like them to keep the pace they're at with the Flyers and Penguins, being relatively close with a handful of games in hand.

Too bad the Habs are pretty much the most all american team in the league.. they even got the Mexicant for gods sakes!

I feel good when Biron starts. Hank deserves a rest so why not give him a full week

I like Biron starting, Henrik has been pretty bad in Bell Centre.

But I still think this will be a high scoring affair, 5-4 Rangers.

With the 8 game win streak on the line and Hank's record in Montreal there's bound to be a lot of second guessing on who should start.

I would of like to have seen Hank get the start and exorcise some of the ghosts haunting him in Montreal. You would think since the team is on a roll that it would be the best time to do that. But I understand the inclination to start Biron.

We got shutout 2-0 there last season with Biron in net as well. But we're a better team this year. I don't really mind having Marty in goal.

Hank never seems right or comfortable when he plays in Montreal anyway.

I love the move to start Biron tonight. I've been thinking about it the last few days, that Biron should get the start but with all the days off in-between games I wasn't sure that Torts was gonna sit Henrik.

Win or lose, it's beneficial to both Biron and Henrik that Biron plays tonight.

if we can win 8 in a row with henrik getting 5 wins and marty getting 3.

I think it tells us a lot about this team.

Ugh. Can't stand when Pierre McGuire over emphasizes the French pronunciations of names like Biron. Such a dweeb. Tell us where everyone played their junior hockey, Pierre. We're so impressed!!

Well, he's of French heritage, so I get it. I'd say to try to let Pierre's other annoying qualities.

But then again I watch a ton of Food Network and hear the word "mozzarella" pronounced in really ******* ways.

We will win, my daughter was born on March 18th last year. She's a good luck charm against the Canadiens.

Very interesting conversation with defenseman Mike Sauer about playing in front of Biron.

“We have two good goalies,” Sauer said. “Marty is very vocal on the ice (editorial comment from me: Shocker!). He’s very encouraging. You’ll make a good play and you’ll hear, “Great play Sauer.” It’s kind of cool. You’re out there doing your job and your getting a pat on the back. It’s kind of cool, you know he appreciates it. You know Hank does too. He’s the first goalie I’ve ever had who’s that encouraging vocally during games.”

Sauer went on to describe how Biron is constantly patting his teammates on the pads in thanks. Sauer even recalled one play from Biron’s last start where Sauer was bringing the puck up ice out of the Rangers’ zone and all he could hear was Biron yelling nice things about him as he’s rushing up ice.
So encouraging to hear.

Yes they're actually showing this game on Premier Sports! (the only tv channel we can watch NHL on in the UK) it's taken this long into the season for them to show a Rangers game! LGR!
